Some of it contains independently verifiable historical events, but none of the magical parts have ever been verified.

Many major figures noted in the bible are historically attested or archaeologically supported, most of them kings, pharaohs, and emperors, since they tended to be more thoroughly documented in the historical and archaeological records than other people. We know, for example, that Cyrus II (the Great) of Persia was a real person and ruled the Persian Empire 2600 years ago.

Spiderman features many historical characters and events. Spiderman was even present in the aftermath of 9/11! Spiderman is a series of historical documentations of the life of the Web Crawler

Did you respond to the wrong person? No one in this comment chain claimed that all parts of the Bible were true.

All of the Bible is true.

My point is that just because the Bible features historical figures doesn't mean their role in the bible is historical. Just because frickin Obummer appeared in Spiderman comics doesn't mean that he actually met Spiderman.

It is a Tapestry of fact and fiction and tells more about the beliefs and psychological profile of the people who wrote it and the culture that surrounded them than reality

As a whole, no. Parts of it have been corroborated through other historical sources, and some archaeological sources too, but as a whole the Bible is not a trustworthy historical document.

Yes, the Biblical account is historical and reliable. We gain some insight into chronology as well and sometimes expose where the chronological record outside of the Bible is faulty.

Some parts yes, but most of it is not. Some of the early church fathers thought the Old Testament was entirely metaphorical but we know now that places like Jericho and Babylon existed.
