If you don't plan to do any work, sure.

Depends what you're doing but this is probably one of the lowest specced machines I've seen with current parts, so it's not going to be a particularly smooth or enjoyable experience

Are there that many employers that don't provide a work laptop?

BYOM is somehow becoming a trend now as it gives employees a sense of ownership of their machines, although one still has to install his company's botnet and VPN service.

No. Trash it. Buy a used Thinkpad, Dell Precision, or Dell Latitude. Even the ones from 12 years ago will outperform the eWaste scam in your pic.

Intel doesn't even make the celeron CPU anymore. 4gb of ram? Emmc? Dude... No it's not. How is it even running windows 11 on a Celeron when it's not a CPU supported by Microsoft for 11? Like selling a machine like this breaks the Eula. So many red flags.

If you are remoting into a work machine, then otherwise buy an ex-lease HP or Dell machine

Why are these real cheap laptops always advertised with EMMC? I don't understand. If you're in the market for a laptop, you can only spend like $200. I highly doubt you even know what that is.

Writing eMMC SSD keeps things honest while not being completely transparent as your regular moron might think that it's expandable storage.

Probably not, in that if you are using Windows 10 you should have at least 8GB and for Windows 11, 16GB RAM (yes W11 is sucky). If you can truly do everything with a web browser then using Linux with a basic window manager will be fine.

Depends on what your "job" is.
If you're not dependent on any Windows applications, you might even get more mileage by putting Linux on it.

We had to do a crazy zoom setup at work and bought a pair of Ideapad 1i laptops since they were $120. Managed to get through the meeting ok. but the machines were kind of shitty as is. One was constantly hung up seemingly doing updates. You try to bring up settings, and it would take over a minute to respond.
I later livebooted one to Mint and it seemed to run ok with that, but I didn't use it for an extended period.

No, buy a Thinkpad T14 Gen 1 AMD or similar, I got one off eBay for $217. HP Elitebooks with ryzen 5650u are available for $350ish too.

just spend like $40 on a desktop with a haswell xeon. If you need 11 spend $30 more
This laptop is borderline ewaste, this being the best deal you can find is a sign of great disability. Consider Canadian Healthcare

    lol
I upgraded from 8 to 16 only because the former wasn't enough to run w10, vscode, couple instances of node.js, chrome with a few tabs, and the company's bloated to frick webapp.
