Based. I wish someone would post the webm of all the Pakistanis in London. Pakistan is the sixth largest economy in the world if you think about it.

Yes, that is the result of urbanism and industrialization. The wealth and power will get concentrated in very condensed areas, i.e. cities.

Excluding London, U.K. is poorer than Mississippi, the poorest U.S. state

Actually that's even INCLUDING London. The average person in the UK makes about $47,000 equivalent per year, while Mississippi's average income is about $47,500 per year. The average person in the UK is slightly poorer than the average person in Mississippi even with London elevating the average.

this claim isn't "true" in the sense that a britbong who moved to Mississippi and did the same work would have a higher standard of living. It's a reducto ad absurbum of using GDP to measure wealth.

UK salaries are legitimately shit though. UK is probably better if your only aspiration in life is to live on the dole and shoot smack, but if you want to be a working professional like a nurse, engineer, or doctor, you're probably still better off in Mississippi. See pic related. That is a laughable wage for a strenuous career that requires a bachelor's degree.

Now here's Mississippi. This holds true for pretty much any kind of professional field requiring a degree or skills. People who wait tables and low IQ layabouts are better off in the UK though, for sure, which brings the average closer.

            Anonymous

Professionals are a minority of the population in both places, even in the US as a whole bachelor's degree holders are barely over 1/3rd (and in both Mississippi and Britain they're below that), and that's people with any degree not people who found careers in related fields.
You're caught in a well-off bubble and failing to pick up the experience of the average person.

    >Is this historically accurate?
we were lucky enough to basically be a small land-mass that was treated like a cumrag by much more powerful empires that funnelled all their technology into us and then either died or were land-locked and surrounded by enemies so they could never divert their full attention to us (france), leaving us with the best parts of whatever they'd acquired over the hundred of centuries they survived whilst never having to fight the wars they did.
we weren't moronic and understood that while we couldn't match other countries in terms of physical manpower or resources, we had the benefit of being an island and as such built the best navy ever which we used to gradually acquire all the resources we needed to form the greatest empire ever by enslaving moronic brown people, both in asia and north america.
in a delicious twist of irony, now poo's run us because of our greedy, fat, corrupt politicians who've gradually siphoned off the wealth we'd acquired whilst conceding territory back to sub-humans who are still moronic in the modern age (and smell bad).
modern day britain is the mirror image of early 20th century Argentina and I for one believe the world was a better place when we the big dicks in charge as whilst we were obnoxious, loud and ugly, we at least kept the nig-nogs and pajeets in check from raping white people out of existence.
remember, don't grow fat and apathetic to your countrie's visible corruption or your grandchildren will be the ones paying for it with cultural enrichment and the re-writing of their entire countries history.

It's bullshit in every year. It's just stats Black folk lying or misinterpreting the data (much as I'd like to just call them liars, fact is there are too many morons around).
If an the hq unit is the beating heart of an army does it mean you can just send the unit to fight the enemy alone and get the same results as sending the whole army?

Do you fat kids not understand how big the rural/urban divide is? In modern industrialized countries the rural population is an afterthought, a rounding error, mathematically insignificant. Economically, they are even less meaningful - we don't need all that space or all those dumb hicks to extract minerals, agriculture and wool. The polity at large doesn't get enough tax revenue from these activities to pay for all the roads, schools, hospitals and postal services that keep these moronic ingrates alive.
On top of that, the rustic morons who populate these areas use their outsized political influence to fight against the people trying to help them.
The country would be better off by every metric if we murdered everyone who voted for Brexit, cannibalized all the towns that remain, moved everyone to the nearest urban area, and let nature take over everything that was left.

No, most of London is poor and on welfare. The UK is more like an "atomic" nation with different layers.

"The City" in the middle of London with all the super-rich anglo financiers and government, Rothschilds and everything, the nucleus.

The rest of "Londonistan" surrounding it with the crime, roadmen and kebab shops.

The suburbs of London and outlying towns and cities such as Cambridge and Oxford with its universities. Here you have middle classes and upper-middle classes working in tech and lucrative businesses based in Britain outside of the traffic of The City. The families of the rich often live here while the rich commute into The City via the M25 then spoke roads like the M1, M4 and M11, roads you hear about even if you don't live in London because they are often used by the same rich people who control the media.

Southern countryside, Essex, Kent, the Cotswolds, nice places to live and with a general middle class standard of living but not as lucrative.

There is then a poverty belt, more grim areas of middle and northern England, think Karl Pilkington, they range from lower-middle class to working class mostly, there are also towns like Bradford and Birmingham which are now Indian and Pakistani colonies, there are lower class white towns like Hull and Sc**thorpe which are poor and abandoned.

Things pick up again further out, Newcastle and Liverpool are lively, if a bit lower class, the touristy areas of Cornwall and Wales and Yorkshire are nice, if your job doesn't need you to be at a location they are probably the best place to live, balancing cost of living with living in a decent area.

Go out and you reach cities like Glasgow which of course are full of heroin and Scotch. Then again in the far off parts of Scotland you have people who still live a trad lifestyle in the middle of nowhere, but because they are often northern or Scotch they tend to be a bit rough.

      a fairly accurate summary.
most cities in the midlands and especially the west midlands are demographically miniature versions of london, just without any of the wealth or job opportunities.

For reference, this photo is from Stoke on Trent, a small city in the middle of England whose economy was based on pottery manufacturing and coal mining. Then the coal mines closed and were replaced with coal imported from Germany. Then the pottery factories moved to Poland. Noone bothered to think about what the people who worked in those mines and factories are going to do or what will happen to the city after that.

fun fact, Stoke-on-Trent is basically the least healthy place in the UK, i did a comparative study on general healthcare quality as part of my bachelor degree a few years ago and it ranked highest for childhood mortality, obesity and smoking related mortality.
after living there for a year I'd say it's probably the grimmest place in england, I'd unironically rather go to sc**thorpe or someplace similar.
the only good thing qbout the place is oatcakes and that's it.
