it was literally never good outside of being required for Tor
in the 2000s you didnt need more than IE, and later chromium btfod it and still does in development tools and overall speed of most things

And how do I do that without recompiling? Old method like putting .ico files in chrome/icons do not work, changing shortcut's icon affects only the shortcut.

not having high aesthetic standards is a sign of a small intellect.

Peaked with the 2009 version. I like the light at the top. It's supposed to be a world wide web browser and the fiery fox is circling the globe. Later it's just circling some plastic ball. Objectively ruined. Why even imitate the old logo if you lose the message?

I fail to see why projects ever change their logo at all. It's purpose is to identify you and your software, so once you have a logo, there's no reason to ever tinker with it.

It wasn't just the logo, the browser itself was perfect. There was no reason to use anything else back in the day.

I like the '09 version the best tbqhfam. It's detailed enough to be more than just an icon, but still looks good at icon sizes. My favorite part is the fluffy tail :3
    >2004
too flat and the gradient is mspaint tier
    >2013
it's an amalgamation of the last two
    >2017
absolute shit, looks like an aborted fetus
    >2019
soulless and looks like chrome which is fitting considering they're effectively owned by google
