I'm smoking weed and jerking off because my entire life is just wageslavery. Everyone is lying, most of the people here are lying about makign 300k watching anime at home being a software developing troony. They're lying. I want to kill myself, my coworkers want to kill themselves. This is not fulfilling, this is not good. I wish I was a NEET, and I revel in pain and suffering because every moment of my life is pain and suffering. I'm a slave and I will never be free because I was born in the wrong place. Anyway, frick slavery.

        >This is not fulfilling, this is not good. I wish I was a NEET
        No, trust me, you don't.
My last job was toxic as frick. 350h a month for an average wage while dealing with braindead clients (money exchange in Prague) so I took a 7 month NEET detox. Initially it was nice, until the money ran out. Let me tell you that not having money is probably even worse than working a toxic job. But yes, I do agree with you that we are currently nothing more than medieval serfs with phones.
You have to start working for yourself. It's the only way to "make it" nowadays. I am on my way to become self employed myself. I think breaking the law to get there is not out of the question either. Everyone is breaking the law these days, it is time to stop being the moral one. It only hurts oneself.

            In which ways

Yeah, it's interesting to think about. Especially because the world was less connected. A serf never had their lord call them at home on a phone and ask if they could do something extra that day. Generally, let's say you're a farmer, as long as you're meeting your quota for whatever crop it is you grow, you were allowed to go about your business as you saw fit, because who's going to ride over there on a horse just to be like
            >Hey! What are you just standing around for? I don't pay you to just stand around while wheat is growing, isn't there some busywork you could be doing?

Consider also that they had way more holidays. And if we stick with our farmer example, he's basically off for the winter because there is simply no work to be done and everybody is actually just trying to make sure they don't die that winter.

You just have to work smarter, Anon. You're getting paid by the hour. If you finish all of your work in 1-2 hours, they will invent 6 more hours worth of work to keep you busy to justify keeping you on the clock. The key is to pretend to be busy with work. Once you shift your mindset, it's relatively easy to kick back for 6+ hours and semi-passively collect money. Its your genius versus your manager's genius.

Lmao this is me. When I started here, it took me entire 8 hours do be done. Now I can do my job for the day within 1 hour and the rest is lurking on /misc/.
Though sometimes the pure boredom just kills me. I tried to explain I don't have to be here and I can WFH since I even got a better setup at home, but nah. For some reason I have to sit here in the office. We could literally shorten workweek to 3 days a week and I bet you that productivity would stay the same. Most of us are merely pretending to be working since we all got machines and computers to help us with our work. I can confidently say that when boomers and genexers GTFO of the work space, massive shift will happen towards shorter workweek just like Henry Ford did a hundred years ago when he shortened workweek by a half.

Do you all want a NEET story? I was recently in Russia and applied to open a bank account so I could get my NEETbux deposited there (yes, it's legal). The bank teller, a woman, asked me what my profession and employer was. I said that I don't have those and what I get is a pension. She said "So you are free?" in broken English. I never looked at it that way but, yes, I am free. Free of tyrannical bosses. Free of office politics. Free of commuting. Free of bedtimes alarm clocks.
    I. AM. FREE.

    Thank you, Russian bank teller.

I quit going to work after I realized 90% of the time I'm just wasting my time doing pointless shit nobody cares about and not getting ahead in life.
I worked there a lot over the past 12 years and the wagie community was a major factor in my decision to not work anymore. NEETs did it to an extent as well but WAGIES are far worse.
Someone could give a long drawn out and factually accurate explanation of what would have to happen for me to even be able to one day buy a home and have a family and why working was fraudulent. The post would get a dozen responses of
    >WHY SHOULD YOU EAT?
    >when you know you know
    >economic collapse is coming
    >stack metals the end is nigh
    >keep waging homosexual
    >100% eoy silver will reach 5k an ounce
Or some equally long schizo post explaining numerology, using bible scripture and random posts here explaining how by the end of the year billions will be unemployed because of the AI.
    Here we are.
After seeing the nothingburger today I came here just to watch the seething and suicide letters. It’s beyond EOY, the jobs didn't disappear, the banks didn't collapse (unfortunately), no more use cases and all the dirty laundry is out in the air now.
It’s not going to be Millennial's Economic Paradise, it will not be the Roaring 20's all over again. The world will not be descending into hyper deflation and prosperity (as was obsessed over for months/years) it will be going on as usual with no major gains or rewards.
I will enjoy watching wagies burn every step along the way.
    Why?
Because those fricking idiots deserve it all.
