Just get any firefox fork that doesn't come with billion telemetry pings on it's first launch and new tab page, and that cuts out the rotting cancer that is pocket and recommended extensions, and doesn't ship with telemetry and studies enabled out of the box. LibreWolf and Mullvad are good options for desktop, while Mull is a good option for mobile. As for a search engine I think SearchXNG is peak, but it's self hosting and too much autism for most people, while something like Startpage/Mojeek would be a superior alternative to slop like DDG

It says it’s open source and decentralized.
But analytics and other “advanced features” are apparently locked behind some kind of crypto paywall?
How does lockin features behind a decentralized paywall work?
Is it all just shared gatekeeping protocols?
What would happen if you did something like mirroring the analytics for free?
Does the presearch police come after you?
What happens if you try to fork it?
          Where does the data go?
A lot of other crypto/blockchain projects started out decentralized but then slowly centralized over time, would presearch be vulnerable to that as well?
Just how “private” is it actually?

Seems like a neat idea and very scalable, but it leaves me with a lot of questions.

I use FireFox because it has add-ons that Chrome doesn't. I tried DuckDuckGo for a moment, but am back to Google as my search engine. I used to recommend Google over Bing, and have found that some of the lesser known search engines do a better job of finding stuff than Google does now.

But there was a time where I used both FireFox and DuckDuckGo at the same time and I have only ever had 1 or 2 cans of Monster to drink in my entire life. I try to stay away from energy drinks and blacked porn is disgusting.

          CORRECTION:
          >media.peerconnection.ice.default_address_only FALSE

This! that would include arkenfox user.js to harden Firefox. Here are the modified settings. You may find some redundant settings:
          >for those of you running any Mozilla based browsers on your phones, go to about:config and be sure to turn off geo.enabled (set to false), media.peerconnection.enabled (set to false), privacy.globalprivacycontrol.enabled (set it to TRUE)
ALL Firefox and Firefox forks and derivative settings for privacy and anti-fingerprinting:
          >privacy.resistFingerprinting TRUE
          >privacy.trackingprotection.enabled TRUE
          >media.peerconnection.ice.default_address_only TRUE
          >media.peerconnection.ice.default_address_only FALSE
          >network.captive-portal-service.enabled FALSE
          >network.cookie.cookieBehavior 5
          >privacy.partition.network_state TRUE
          >privacy.firstparty.isolate FALSE
          >toolkit.telemetry.log.level FATAL (yes! FATAL. NOT FALSE)(If it does not show in your about:config, create a string and type in "FATAL"
          >toolkit.telemetry.log.dump FATAL
          >toolkit.telemetry.server """" or leave blank (in Librewolf this is set to "data;," for some strange fricking reason. I do not understand it)
          >toolkit.telemetry.shutdownPingSender.enabled FALSE
          >toolkit.telemetry.shutdownPingSender.enabledFirstSession FALSE

          THERE ARE MORE SETTINGS!

LMAO nice try. The more you act like you have something to hide, the bigger target you paint on your back. Keep on flipping your placebo switches and thinking you have privacy on the internet like the good little dogs that you are.

It's a browser for protection from advertisers, knowing that no browser is perfect these days. Swiss cheese security. No more than that, no one is 100% safe online.
Just don't use it for protection against the government and don't do anything that the government might pay attention to with it
And if you're going to end up on a list for something use a more robust setup not meant for daily consumerism

    >Firefox's Safe Browsing feature, now referred to as Phishing Protection, is still internally recognized as "Safe Browsing".

    >To provide protection against phishing and malware, Firefox transmits the following data: Partial address information for visited webpages. Details such as name, origin, size, and hash of contents for downloaded files.

    >This data is sent to Google Safe Browsing to aid in issuing warnings for downloaded files and visited sites .

    >While Phishing Protection bolsters your security, it may decrease your privacy as it involves sending data about the websites you visit and files you download to Google.

What about adding a translator first and fixing the TTS engines, mozilla?
Whose ape is doing product development?

They added a native translator, but it most likely sucks compared to Google.

TTS, they actually offer support to it, it only run the TTS you had installed on your PC, it would be cool if there was a native solution, especially if was actually good.

      Good night, little angel.

ITT: anons that don't understand the you can build your own copy of Firefox without it (much like the other forks of Firefox).

What Mozconfig option even activates this? Which repo houses the code for it?

I don't see this in my own builds of Nightly. If they're testing something then that's fine. Until it hits mozilla-central maybe wait before panicking.
