      wtf how do i uninstall?

      Nice syntax bad everything else

The syntax is horrible. Most other things are decent.

Sounds good to me, the more confusing it looks the less likely it is that my normie peers will learn it.

Nice syntax, quite comfy, but a bit weird exception handling to be honest. I'm used to the classic Try catch Blocks, But in this language you need to pull it out of the function yourself...
I don't know. This doesn't click with me.

I just tried it once out of curiosity and it's pretty straight forward.
If you ask me, GO should replace the fricking python which is an abomination and an insult to anyone's intelligence.
My main language is C++ followed by C sharp and Java So yeah, that's where I'm coming from.

I'm not much of a programmer honestly, I just want to learn something new this summer. I did a little C++ but I hated it. Also why does this jak exist?

        Pajeet spotted.

Are we afraid of intelligence? I thought so. Now I'm staying right here, and slot my oversized balls and below-average dick against your brown pyjeet face.

            Yeah, I'm just bored.
Sitting around in my apartment, can't go and outside right now because everything hurts. I really don't have any choice but fricking around online. I'm sorry, anon

It's cool, I'm not going anywhere either. I'm sitting outside on the patio, overlooking my garden and drinking a cold beer. You have any projects you're working on?

Beside my game engine, I also write a desktop centric mandatory access control system.
There's also a live science project which, at the time being finds itself in its infancy to say the least, Still requires a lot of equipment to be shipped.

            How about you?

Been pretty busy IRL with weeding the garden, tending to the "crops" (small patch where I'm growing onions, carrots and stuff), fighting pests on my lemon tree, stuff like that. I also have a boat that needs a lot of interior work (and mast work) that I currently don't have the funds to start, although this summer I should throw away all the old cushions and woodwork and redo the seals on the windows/hatches.

Computer-wise, I put the projects on pause and decided to focus on the IRL stuff. But what I have on pause is a free, anonymous, encrypted mail service + neocities/geocities-like host based on C. I'm really into communities and every time I think I "got it" I get disheartened by the Web landscape.

It's been a year+ since I played video games, or watched movies/TV shows. It feels like I'm slowly going away from cyberspace, but I don't want to. Internet should be fun, yet all I see is depressing drama and """"""SoMe"""""" bullshit.

My current thinking is that I should cut my expenses to a minimum, work my ass off at some manual labour jobs (that pay pretty well where I live actually) and commit 100% to my boat and then after it's ready in 2-3 years, sail away and never look back.

Bro exception handling isn't weird. It has multiple advantages when compared to the generic try catch language and it goes well with other Go features. It wasn't implemented by accident, that's for sure.

    nice toolchain
    nice compilation, especially speed
    great runtime performance
really easy to maintain with great stdlib and a general aversion for battieres-included frameworks
code will continue to build forever with a vow to never repeat the python 2 or java 8 drama

productive after 2 weeks of learning and 2 hours of joining a new codebase

What if I think that caring about types to this extent is a sign of unfixable autism, or of generalized anxiety disorder?

B-BUT WHAT IF SOMEONE PUTS THE WRONG VALUE INTO ONE OF THESE VARIABLES AND I CANT C-CONTROL EVERY LITTLE THING

how about stop being a homosexual, learn some ops, and move on with your god damn life? It’s not like you’re working on anything important. 99.99% of the strong type spergs are still working for useless companies that do nothing besides try to extort margins off of middlemanry

Mandates the use of tabs instead of spaces.
That is a complete deal breaker.
Rob Pike uses tabs so he chose to force his shite preference onto everyone else.
Look up the actual usage rates of tabs vs. spaces of projects started in the last 25 years. It's like 95% spaces, 5% tabs. And the 5% is almost entirely made up of Go projects.

It's the equivalent of designing a brand new physical product, but only producing a version for left handed people.

I realize it doesn't affect functionality at all and its just a stylistic thing, but its the mentality behind that decision that is a major red flag to the overall design and direction of the language.
It shows a great deal of opinionated decision-making without regard for what the majority programmers actually prefer.

are you moronic or just pretending? you don't need to do any effort for that, the compiler itself can do it for you.

yes. basically, IQfy is for consoomerism. and it's not only consoomerism as in electronics, but as in brand wars and similar shit.
      >hurr durr my language is better than yours
      >hurr durr brand X sucks
and so on. my suggestion is to leave this place asap, because your mental capacity will degrade simply by staying in this moronic forum.
