Correction, 8500/day, only after that will Biden make an announcement about considering the option to make a decision about which options can be decided on before making the call to make an announcement as to which decision would be an option to make.

Hello boomers. You’re easy to spot with your delusional worldview that stagnant wages in the face of rapidly rising cost of living is sustainable.
      >”muh business owners would have to raise their prices if wages go up”
That already happened dumbasses. There’s an imbalance in the system.

Yep. I live in Mississippi and they’re one of the few states that won’t offer a state minimum wage. Employers here pay $7.25 and get away with it all the time. You know federal minimum wage has not been raised since 2009, right? Lots of young adults around here living with their parents while bagging groceries or simply not working at all.

I live in a small town in flyover country and I don't believe I've seen anyone paying minimum wage since before the 08 crisis. The McDonalds in my town us offering $16/hour plus tuition assistance.

I wouldn’t be so sure. Our McDonalds had one of those $16 signs outside. A friend’s kid (in college) applied and they said since he was new they’d start him at $9. He took the job anyway, but then they kept scheduling him during his class hours (he provided it and they had agreed not to do that) so he just quit. I mean these are franchises so it could just be a shit location but it all seemed like such a cheap trick.

My mortgage including interest on my condo is $10/work-hour, HOA $2/work-hour, groceries $2/work-hour, gas $1/work-hour, etc. No issues saving money. I live in an area with basically no crime and my commute is 12 minutes each way. I plan on upgrading to a single family home within about 6 minutes of work.

Enforced minimum wage doesn't make any sense.
The idea that ANY job, regardless of actual value produced, must pay at least $x is asinine. What if the job produces less than $x in economic value?
Secondly, work is entirely voluntary. "Minimum wage" seeks to stop workers from being exploited. If the worker voluntarily signs up for a low-paying job then it's what they're OK with. If they feel like the wage is unliveable they can simply refuse to work at that particular job and get a better paying job.
