            >Python is just below GO in every field
Nobody uses python because they think it's the perfect language for the job. Everyone uses python because it has a massive amount of relevant libraries for everything and it's convenient.
Python is never the #1 absolute best for anything, but it's almost always second best. In the real world, people care about convenience, not autistically researching the absolute best tool for any specific given job, this is why Python shines pretty much everywhere

            Anonymous

Yes, at this point, that's the only relevant answer in this entire fricking thread. But still, I am very disappointed. A language with this idiotic syntax and this terrible performance gained this much momentum and pushed the entire industry to come along.
It is very upsetting seeing end user applications running like ass because the backed uses some type of python scripting to incorporate python applications doing the actual job...

            Anonymous

It doesn't matter that you're disappointed, people use python because it just works and is incredibly convenient for almost everything. Simple syntax, huge libraries, good enough performance for most stuff. No wonder it's popular

There is an in between space where the problem you are trying to solve is complex enough that using python is insanity but optimisation isn't important enough that using c++ is justified.

      >optimisation isn't important enough that using c++ is justified.
C++ doesn't have to be restricted to high performance applications, you can write anything else in it just fine. And if you don't care about optimization, it's less complex to use.

Well, if you compare the performance to an average Python program, then the use of the cluster fricked C++ is very much justified if you ask me.
