      nice breakdown

      Sage

Pretty much the best answer ITT.

With the caveat that "best drivers" is a meaningless category, every distro is using the exact same drivers. Some distros come with them pre-installed, and some require you to spend 30 seconds installing them yourself.

Also for shittiest distro of all time I'd say Ubuntu and all of its offshoots.

It has a simple package manager baked in, and a popular third party package manager with more modern features that you can install.

This image must be old and is weird. Someone listed commands they know and said everyone needs to know them which doesn't make sense. How many people use iptables? On the other hand it misses so many useful commands. Some of them basically basic and more known.

cmp, comm - I've never seen anyone using this.
    sort but no uniq
ifconfig - It was replaced with ip.
traceroute - Is there any use case for this? I've never found it useful. Where is ping on the list? It's more useful and used all the time. I understand nc not being on the list.
service - Old, the nonsystemd distros probably uses something more modern or simpler (bsd like).
clear - Useless. Nobody uses it because any shell has <C-l> binding.
whoami - Useless. You already know who you are, but w/who might be useful for servers to check different sessions.
    ps but no free
    df but no du
    wget but no curl
ufw - I've never used it but looks useful actually. But it shouldn't be on the list.
iptables - I've never used it. I filter things at hosts file, and route things via route. Both iptables and route are rather things common user doesn't need to know about so why put iptables on the list?
apt and friends - Distro dependent but understandable.
cal - date is more useful, surely it's not something I "must" know. How can anyone put cal, but no date on the list. It's mind boggling.
dd - It's advanced tool again. If it's on the list why are disk commands not. There is higher chance a user uses fdisk, cfdisk etc than dd. Volume management tools are obviously advanced.
whereis - I've always used which which shows me actually what is actually used. I don't know what is the usecase for this unless you install packages in /usr/bin /usr/share/bin or whatever else and don't know where you put it.
whatis - I've never used this. Surely not something I "must" know.
    useradd but no usermod
    No find and xargs
    No awk?!

      >clear - Useless. Nobody uses it because any shell has <C-l> binding.
clear clears the scrollback buffer, which I've found useful when scrolling through lots of output.
I don't have to look for the small bash prompt, and can instead just scroll to the top

      as for the rest, yeah
