Linux distro that feels like W10?

Would like something just as popular, well supported & "feels" like W10, without the spyware of course, here's what I've tried:

>Debian too out of date but good for my server
>Arch good for my laptop for real life stuff, not games, installing stuff etc (hate having to make a pkgbuild for everything)
>Manjaro feels like a worse arch
>Ubuntu a shitty debian

Feel free to post your desktops and such

Linux is not Windows and it never will be. Either familiarize yourself with your new OS and desktop, or keep sucking winwiener.

try Fedora KDE or Fedora Cinnamon. Also use Snaps/Flatpaks to get more up-to-date software if the packages in the repos are too old for you.

You have a mental illness. Bloat is not a real problem. Preinstalled software and a hand full of running services you wouldn’t include yourself is nothing when a distro only idles at 1gb ram or so.
You say it’s good for gaming because of a custom kernel and one good experience with one game. Does that sound like the
        >download steaminstaller
        >play games
Approach of windows? No. So stop shoehorning arch into conversations where it doesn’t belong.
Yes you can configure Arch to be good for things but that is YOU not arch. It is a sandbox not a distribution in the default end user experience sense, which is all that normal people actually care about.

OP Debian KDE (x11) or Mint. Maybe fedora kde if you don’t mind frequent updates and version changes.

Debian is terrible for gaming due to having old and outdated packages unless you only play old retro games. You want the most recent steam/proton/linux/drivers for better performance and compatibility. That's why arch is a usual recommended gaming distro (and why valve chose it)

Anything kde like kubuntu, you can even make the theme look exactly like it in the theme downloader thing that it has, but even the default one is pretty much a mix of windows 7 and 10

Do distros even have "feels" outside of the DE? I don't even notice the difference between Debian and mint with cinammon

Good question actually, I suppose it's a matter of whether the DE makes it as moron proof as possible

List of good distributions of Linux: Linux Mint Cinnamon Edition version 21.3 "Virginia"

      Linux Mint

A few months into using Mint and the amount of shortcomings is infuriating.
Oh you want to search for files modified on a particular date? Well tough luck, friend, Nemo (Mint's Explorer) can't do that! What is this, 2004? Your only options with that POS is listing ALL files, then sorting them by date and scrolling to the date you need.
This is literally core OS functionality and it's fricking missing. Windows-like my ass.

Other things that spring to mind is images not losing opacity when performing drag&drop from a folder so good luck placing them onto the tiny file upload button 4chins has if you're dragging max-sized thumbnail and forgot to grab it by one of the corners. If you miss, your post gets deleted of course, no biggie.

Half of basic programs are missing, image viewers are all shit made by autists for autists, video players look like someone's high-school project, whoever's developing photo editing tools has been trying to reinvent the wheel with UI and failing in the most spectacular ways and even the notepad programs are a buggy mess.

Drop this mindset. Linux will never feel like Windows. Windows will never feel like Linux. macOS will never feel like Windows, etc. And you will never succeed in making system x feel like system y, it will always be off, you will be pointlessly fighting against it.
Familiarize yourself with the different system and learn to do what you need to do the way it is done on that system.

tl;dr, this kind of thinking usually ends in disappointment, if you want something that looks, acts, and feels like windows, then your only choice is windows
even if you pick a DE that mimics windows to some degree, it's never going to be or feel the same, so all you're going to do is notice all the differences and call it a failure to properly mimic windows
the only way you can truly enjoy linux is look at it for what it is, learn to use linux for linux, not as a "spyware-less windows"
