What does this mean? Isn't Outlook already a subscription service in the form of Office 365? I have many questions, all of which are presumably answered by the article you insist on never citing (You) useless waste of air.

Microsoft has a free version of Outlook that's their equivalent to Gmail. It's also the successor to Hotmail from the late 90s and early 00s, and all those old Hotmail accounts got grandfathered as Windows Live accounts in the Vista era, and then as Outlook.com accounts in the 8 and 10 era.

Apparently this is for consumers using the free version of outlook that can't afford the full Office 365.

        Yes, the icon confused me.
This policy change would essentially kill Outlook as an email provider. Not even Microsoft is stupid enough to implement such a self-destructive policy.
I also can't find any information on this online, nor the screenshoted article in question, so I suspect this is fake news. Likely an HTML edit of a real article, which would explain the lack of a citation by OP.
In conclusion, OP is a homosexual, and everyone in this thread is a moron with 0 critical thinking skills.
