It's not. It's drawn like that to depict movement. You can see it on the shoe.

    what do you mean
if you mean windows turned into a slow piece of shit, you need to reinstall it. It doesn't matter how fast your hardware is, windows always gets slow af after a few years.

I had my Thinkpad for just around 10 years and I've made multiple 6 figs with the software I've written using it. I keep her well maintained and she's still going strong.

Wait 2 years, get a budget x3d cpu and a used 4060/4070 from heebay, strap a new NVMe in there and put it all in a shiny case for 10+ years of 1440p gaming on the highest settings.

    >5-year-old $3000 PC is old and slow
Let me guess, you like playing new video games? Even if you do, just upgrade the GPU. No need to get a whole new computer.

  13. 3 weeks ago
    Anonymous

You only really need to upgrade if you want DDR5 and PCIe 5.0, and it's not a game changing difference.

Just stop using Windows. Windows demands more and more resources each release and its installation shits itself over time

My computer is almost 6 years old, cost less than $1500, and still feels fast except for the GPU in new games. (I've bought new SSDs for it since then but still well under $2000).
Either you chose your hardware very poorly or you just have some bloated software slowing you down. Try reinstalling windows or something.

I have been using the same skylake i5 since january 2017. Sure, even with an RTX 3060 and a ram upgrade it struggles with a few games, but the desktop is as fast as ever.

Even if I did not have the cash for a new computer, I got a Dell i5 kabylake for 100€ in 2022 as a backup. It's more than enough. Frick, I even have a shitty l3 laptop from 2015 that is still snappy with W10 IoT or Debian.

what the hell are you doing with it?

my 1000€ Lenovo cube with a shitty i7 16gb ram and a nvidia1080 8gb vram can still run daily tasks, video editing, Photoshop and all I throw at it beside some games that are shitty optimized.
