My faith in God has faded heavily as of recent.

My faith in God has faded heavily as of recent. I have no issue with Him but I just cannot say I strongly believe in Him nor do I feel as passionate about Him as I used to. It feels weird and I'm unsure if this will be temporary or permanent.

Read the scripture, pray for the Spirit to bless you with faith and do not tolerate the devil's lies in your mind. God bless, I'm praying for you.

Unaligned religious belief, I think God exists and likely enjoys worship but I don't think He functions like any of the organised religions say He does.

So god is whatever you want him to be? That's not faith or belief, but an opinion; you're not making a commitment that makes worship necessary.

Why does belief in God entail submission to a specific dogma or praxis?

            Anonymous

Because truth is beyond oneself, if something is true, I don't get to decide it, because then it is my own invention, I have to accept it as it is, because if I don't, it is an opinion that can change, and not a real objective truth

            Anonymous

Okay, but that doesn't answer my question. Why does belief in God make submission to a particular dogma or praxis necessary? A particular set of unfalsifiable beliefs or a set of morals passed down through a prophet whose authority is again unfalsifiable with the exception of earlier unfalsifiable prophets or a falsification condition within said prophet's testimony cannot be known as absolutely true.

            >that doesn't answer my question
Yes it did, you just didn't take the time to try to understand it
            >Why does belief in God make submission to a particular dogma necessary
Because a dogma makes that belief objective and impersonal.
Another thing to consider, is that a dogma is not a law, which is blind orthopraxy, a dogma is literally just the belief in itself, and thats what actually defines it, as opposed to having heterodoxy, wherein your faith can be rationally manipulated into something it's not

God doesnt adjust to man, its man who must adjust to god, you can scrutinize god all you want, he is still god whether you want him to be or not, and deep down you know it too.

Its really so sad to see how ignorant (no offense) people can get as to swoop over the profound wisdom with which these points have already been addressed; christ himself was scrutinized unto death, he even lost faith himself by saying "father, why have you forsaken me?", and yet he died by saying "father, into your hands i commend my spirit".

The problem is with those humans who think they should be God which is what you're talking about. Feminism is idolatry, and this is proof. God is called "He" because it was man who was made in the image of God, and woman was made after the image of man.

Biologically speaking it is the opposite, men are nothing more than expression of the SRY gene or an equivalent of it. Mere sperm carriers
Many species don't need males, can just clone themselves or are hermaphrodites of some kind.

            https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/24313430/

Your body is the expression of your genes, chromosomes are mere gene carriers. XX XY is not even universal among mammals.
The Y chromosome is degrading, some other chromosome/s will replace it in the not so distant future. That's simply how genes evolve.

Beyond mammals, many non-avian reptiles are born genetically hermaphrodite and sex is determined through the environment. How male appear at higher temperatures ect...
It's the genes' expression that determines what you become

Feelings come and go, we don't believe our feelings, we believe the Lord, this idea of love being some sort of happy feeling that's enveloping you 24/7 is a newer idea stemming from romanticism.

Especially for men this messes us up as men aren't as emotional as women and thinking this is a requirement in relationships is not healthy.

Believing in the Lord means a relationship and of course these things have a honeymoon period.

Anyhow our love and trust should be rooted in scripture or and the hope we have in his promises, not something as fragile as feelings, if we feel a need to display our love then we may do something that is pleasing in his eyes like helping your neighbour, keep it simple.
