funny thing is that gtk now made the text sharper as an improvement and the dev wrote about it in his blog (or gtk blog, I dont remember)

9 out of 10 non-GUI features are genuinely unnecessary. Only GUI features warrant bloat, and thats just because you have to sell the product. Consciously cramming a bunch of shit in everywhere else just to say you have it is a rookie mistake.

I don't need GNOME. At all.

gnome is just a shinier windows 2.0. Needs like 8 extensions to make it usable (like minimizing windows, or a fricking task bar)

If the goal was to make the most basic feature-less DE and then you cherry pick the features you want by installing extensions, then I guess it makes sense but god damn man

I don't give a frick about GNOME, but why the frick does anyone need desktop icons? I have them disabled on my Windows partition and have zero desktop icons on my Arch KDE partition, they're fricking useless cancer.

I'm not saying that DEs should remove this feature, they should keep it even, but why the frick do you need it? You really don't need this feature.

Thanks but I'm sticking with KDE 6.0+QT 6.0 ebussy.

QT is the future toolkit, give it up now ebussy.

We don't need that feature? Well we don't need gnome then.
