Wired UX: shove jack into device you want to hear sound from. One movement, visual indication which device is used, no chance of sending sound to wrong device (maybe integrated speakers, but that would be instantly obvious)
      Wireless: ???

I wish the jack could power the headphones so you can have ANC

Just replace the cable and solder an extension that powers it

I cared at first because Apple removed the headphone jack too early.
Now that earbuds are super common and easily affordable I don't care at all.

Space saving, only need one cable for both audio and mic, ham radio guys hate it, thus they use 3.5mm for audio and 2.5mm for trigger or digital connection.
You'll be using the same jack on both pc, handheld, and phone.

I will never buy a device without an audio jack. Simple as.
You can shove your shitty overpriced buds that need to be charged all the time (charging one device is already annoying enough) up your ass.

Nope only place I listen to music is in the car and that's always been via Bluetooth or usb cable. I do actually own a pair of Bluetooth headphones now I'd have never bought a wired pair and all the free ones I ever got with older phones ended up a tangled mess of wires in a drawers and eventually thrown away

I'll go back to a flip phone before I buy a new device with less functionality than an iphone 3.

Absolutely no hardware uses analog audio out over usb c

That's a dummy type-c adapter, you clearly never took one apart. The ones with dacs are shown as such in music apps.

I do, because the only excuse is that they want to make thinner phones, yet my old phone is thinner than my current still has the jack, also I can't use my fricking IEMs

I switched to dongles for consistency, to have the same sound on my phone and my PC, but if I ended up with a jackless phone before 2022 I would be really mad.

annoyance with wireless earbuds is they have to be recharged every few hours, making them unusable. however the annoyance with wired headphones is that its wired and have to worry about not accidentally breaking the headphone while you turn/step on it

yes. my Redmi Note 10 Pro has a jack, probably won't change it before a while and I refuse to buy a phone without a headphone jack
the only wireless stuff I use is my pc headset because a wire is irrelevant here, it's a Logitech headset and the Lightspeed protocol is pretty good. also I can get up to take a piss without removing it. irrelevant in the case of a phone since I can just keep it in my pocket at all times

I only care when I get in a car and my friend is like "want the aux?" and I just say "nah I'm good" instead of admitting my phone doesn't have a jack

Give him a BT adapter hell love it until it runs out of battery and forgets to charge it. I carry one with me

I care more about removable/expandable storage like the MicroSD being removed. I'd upgrade to the new Android models if they had it.

If they every remove physical audio ports from PCs I'd be pissed but phones it's the natural way. If you really cared you'd use USB-C.

I like wired because it's cheaper, lasts longer (you don't have wireless headphones from 2015 that still have good battery life), and has less problems.
Enjoy spending $300 on latency cans every 2 years. This year's one good move from the EU should be to require user-replaceable batteries.
