phones are done for

>bought a relatively fancy google pixel 6a brand-new about a year ago
>for the first few months it's perfect
>then about 6 months in, the OIS on the main camera dies and it's always out of focus
>have to take photos using the ultrawide and then crop them
>yesterday the haptic motor died randomly
>i haven't dropped this phone once, by the way
>decide to go back to the basics and look for a really simple phone
>basically a 720p LCD, headphone jack, SD slot, long battery life, no fancy gizmos
>literally cannot find anything
>all of the budget phones in the sweet spot $150 USD range now have shitty 1080p OLEDs with 3 cameras and bloated UI skins
>hear about motorola
>nope, those frickers only provide a single OS update
I'm not even asking for crazy shit like a removable battery. What the frick is going on? I'm 19, yet I feel old already.

How do I find good battery replacements? I bought 4 different GK40's and all of them last less than a day without doing anything.

Using a modern smartphone is like wearing a cross or a rainbow flag, its just used to signal your total submission to evil corporations, if you believe in that sure go ahead but I don't so no reason for me to use one. I will not be buying any more smartphones.

Any actual reason you would buy these shits instead of using just a proper oldschool phone? Also it looks like it runs android so thats still botnet dogshit. The new Nokias don't even have Java or anything, they're more expensive and way shittier than old phones.

        >brand new
        >6 months in
Then why didn't you return it under warranty moron?

Good for you if you live somewhere where they actually give a frick about that

Nokia G42 5g ticks all those options. Very happy with mine since coming from an iPhone SE 2020. It came with android 13, is on 14 currently and will get 15. This is the main reason I chose it over the Motorola's tbh

Why are people always just becoming of age to post here? You should be retroactively banned for all the years you shouldn’t have been here

    >then about 6 months in, the OIS on the main camera dies and it's always out of focus
This was the point where you were supposed to use the warranty on the device to get it repaired or replaced for free.
