qr codes

Why do all globohomocorpo push qr codes? 99% of cases the user would be better off if the underlying data was displayed in plain, without jumping through additional hoops. Worse, the npc seem to be already conditioned to crave qr codes and their phones are already semi glued to their used to be hands. How to reverse this process?

You can put a link in the qr code that will redirect to the correct page so they will never have to change the piece of paper again, one less wagie to pay.
If the company creates a unique link for each location where there is a qr code, they can track which user scanned which link at which time, so they can sell this info to data aggregation companies.

as opposed to just printing the url with the redirect you can verify by your eyes that not some shady corpo shit? Do you want to further drive home my point or what?

I guess you are agreeing with me, but qr codes are not necessary for user tracking

Yeah you can surely click human readable link when it's printed on paper

then it was never in their interest to visit that link, simple as. Do you mean adding all the tracking bullshit? I can agree on that one lol
          >let's just scan this roastie without a condom, what could go wrong
yeah, let's traing normies to do that, what could go wrong?

Maybe now ai will deprecate qr codes since they are no longer needed because ai can read regular text that humans can read

ocr has been a thing like forever

Cool but business owners do not care since you can't afford their services at the first place.

it's so that NPCs can scan it instead of looking at a big scary code or link. You aren't a sociopath like me and you don't understand the things you must do do squeeze life energy and money out of the golems...

Most people nowadays carry smartphones around, so they can just scan information from a link to a website that can be updated on the go without paying someone fro printing new QR codes. IQfy NEETs who think that smartphones are the devil himself are small minority that noone cares about.

you can click a human readable link or display that few bytes of data contained in the code without the intermediate, are you stupid as well?

you would have to type this link manually in the browser. This is inferior to qr codes since it is slower, less convenient and doesnt piss off unemployed smartphone haters.

so the idea is to target brainded normies? I mean, if people stupid enough to inject untested science juice they sure as hell stupid enough to open opaque links, but using phone for brain was already a good enough proxy to segment

One who makes his file easier is not brainded. Only a complete moron would overcomplicate things on purpose. scanning a qr code and clicking "follow the link" popup is easier than manually rewriting the whole url to the browser.

I agree, that phonenpcs have a hard time typing 10 characters on their inferior input devices, but the QoL argument breaks down as ocr for printed characters has been a solved problem for decades. Not that you are sincere though, as most QR codes are digital anyway.

If you put a hyperlink in plain text on a physical piece of paper, the person who sees it has to type it in themselves. On a fricking phone keyboard. If you use a QR code, they can just wave their camera in front of it and go to it quickly.

nothing capitalistic about globohomo, they channel taxpayer money to fund their agenda, if they had to actually compete they would be out of business yesterday

I use QR codes to copy paste stuff between devices without using cloud bullshit, though I don't feel like having a webcam on my desktop just for the off chance I want to pass plaintext from my phone, it works better on my laptop with a built-in webcam.

can work in very limited circumstances, but why not use a serial port like a sane person?
