macos has nothing to do with bsd. maybe tiny part of network stack
      bsd is not an OS.
freebsd is significantly different than openbsd and so on.

gnu tools are badly coded but have better performance than bsd counterparts.
      awk on bsd is awful

      Linux is better-er

      yup

freebsd+ports is on par with ubuntu in terms of number of packages.
most drivers are copy pasted from linux.
i do like the way you easly interface with the system trough sysctl. you can get temperature, battery level and much more while on linux you either have to look under some obscure directory or install a package. you don’t have man heir on linux.

        >gnu tools are badly coded but have better performance than bsd counterparts.
Because they're well programmed and optimized, which is their main goal.

darwin, yes, nothing to do with it.
nextstep, no, it's almost entirely bsd.

this violates GPL so I highly doubt it.

Is NetBSD even useful as a daily driver? I use OpenBSD on my laptop and I’ve used FreeBSD and it has most things you’d want.

I really respect their dedication to minimalism and security, but the cuck license ruins it all.
If BSD was the only one around in the heyday of SCO litigation and commercial unixes, the entire movement would have died before taking off and you'd have none of the freedom, just a bunch of homosexualS like apple squatting on your work

    Respect the GPL.

      >pick the more onerous license
Why do you have more say over the other's use of the code? That's not your concern. That's literally between BSD and that other user. Stop being a c**t.

OpenBSD doesn't have journaling and FreeBSD is the only one with multilib for wine, but it's unnecessarily complicated to configure that other BSDs and even Linux.
