Quitting Windows, please recommend me a Linux distro

>Never used Linux b4, need something intuitive
>I will be using the OS for: watching anime on MPV player, playing retro shit on bizhawk/pcsx2, browsing the web
>I use OLED monitor so I need an OS that can be customized to be fully black wherever possible + icons/taskbar can be hidden
>Must support my old Dualshock2 controller
>I have Ryzen 5800X3D, RTX3060ti, X570 mobo
Thanks bros. I wanna leave Windows for good.

Linux is still a meme, sadly.

If you're going to use KDE just use SuSE, they support it first-class and better than anyone else.

Almost any distro can handle your use cases, but if you want something that can be set up in 15 minutes, try Mint.

Just use X if you're running Nvidia and it will work just fine. I never had any problems with any Nvidia card I used.

based, welcome to the world of true forms.
Mint is the goat 4 u. Suse is also goated.
Down the line if you get more into it, I can recommend Void.

nah it's not that bad anymore.

If you don't like tinkering, go with Mint. Every disgruntled Windows refugee that I've shown Mint to - including my "wife" - has adapted to it very quickly, and loves it. Cinnamon runs great on any half-decent hardware, but if you have a real shitbox toaster, they have the MATE and Xfce editions. It's really that simple.

PopOS. It's generally Ubuntu reconfigured to keep you from running into a bunch of snap shitware that hasn't been maintained in six years.
