Romans 1:26-32 is one of the most based passages in ancient literature.

Romans 1:26-32 is one of the most based passages in ancient literature. Paul just goes off on a long homophobic tirade calling homosexuals and lesbos depraved, greedy, and deserving of death. In 50 ad, someone created a close version of the ywnbaw copypasta and the worst part is that barely anyone knows about this.

If you want to emotionally hurt homosexuals, this is much better to quote than leviticus

wrong, it's all fake and stupid moronic shit for people who thought slavery was morally ok.

the "eternal creator of the universe" made sure to demand the cutting off foreskins was more important than saying one of the most evil acts in history was wrong.

Would you rather, if, when conquering a city; everyone was killed instead of being sold for their ability to work a job?
Slavery just strikes at human ego far worse than any other aggression. If a person is killed in cold blood they may be able to keep their pride. Not if they are subjugated.
        Oh well.
        Pride is evil anyways.

          >Would you rather, if, when conquering a city; everyone was killed instead of being sold for their ability to work a job?
why are you only providing two options? fricking is also part of human nature, like killing and conquering, and your israeli god decided that waiting until marriage was the thing to do. surely he could also say killing people is bad and slavery is fricking bad as well

          >one of the most evil acts
Give a consistent definition of evil

evil is something that is morally wrong, always and in every circumstance.

slavery is bad; which is why it's the punishment for losing in a war, or being in crippling debt.
enslaving someone when you could kill them is better than killing them, right? Or, how about; someone works as a slave and buys their freedom instead of going to "prison"?

btw not all forms of slavery are "anything goes"

          >Give a consistent definition of evil
Not that Anon but: Anything that perverts the natural way of things for humans as designed by God. This encapsulates all things considered evil by convention and tradition, all inhumane treatment and atrocities. This definition is irrefutable and doesn't depend on "revealed' schizo ramblings.

    >Paul just goes off on a long homophobic tirade calling homosexuals and lesbos depraved, greedy, and deserving of death.
It's not about that at all. Paul's point was that paganism is bad so he connected it to the prostitution that was common in their temples. The condemnation of same sex sex was the background he was leveraging to condemn paganism not the other way around.

    >26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

    >28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Sounds like Augustus' grubby little hands were over this, tbh
