Scala

I absolutely love Scala worksheets. I don't even have to compile to evaluate a function as it returns the results inline as comments
You can also plug these worksheets into your project to test things live. Basically clojure without the gay ass lisp syntax and the dynamic type cancer.

Scala's biggest problem is its archaic platform JVM.

Not kidding. Scala Native is a realization of the fact that JVM is a net loss.

scala native and scala js are just niche toys

this. JVM is a shit platform for a functional language and why Scala 2 was a disgusting joke and 3 is just hopium.

jvm is both a driver and a limiter of success. neither clojure nor scala could have been sneaked into enterprise software without it
the unfortunate amount of objects that fp implementations make is a constraint on performance but not a deal breaker apart from where high performance with efficient memory use is paramount

If JVM is a net loss for Scala then Scala Native is a net loss for functional programming. There will never be a good reason to use Scala Native over OCaml.

          >JVM is a shit platform for a functional language
Ah yes, a VM heavily built around having a infinite amount of stacks is a shit platform for a paradigm built around having a infinite amount of stacks.

          Only C is worthwhile tbh

Some of the recent winners that keep growing are Typescript, Go, Kotlin
Popular but destined to “succeed” like Scala is Rust
Not going anywhere is C#, Java, cpp and c

Clojure has superior macros, metaprogramming and a real REPL thanks to its based S-expressions, something that Scala will never have, scalaBlack person.

VS Code dominates the market, it needs no defense. Maybe if your shitty editor was good at editing text instead of being a text-based adventure game with mental gymnastics, after all these years of shilling, it would have a crumb of market relevance but I digress.
How does it feel to lose to a new text editor written in typescript running on Electron? I'd be salty.

          Freetards can't make anything useful.

            really nothing wrong with it.
VSCode on the other hand is literally EULA'd nonfree shitware.
