Scientifically speaking, why do philosophers like to masturbate in front of a mirror?

Scientifically speaking, why do philosophers like to jerk off in front of a mirror?

Because Philosophy is humanity's highest endeavour. Man dominates nature because he is the only animal who creates concepts. Now there are many fields dealing with different concepts and their applications, but the only "field" which thinks about the concepts themselves is philosophy.
You can't think ANYTHING without some kind of axiom or base, and that's where the fundamentals come in. Ecce Philosophy.

You don't need philosophy to come up with axioms. Observe:
Axiom: you don't exist. Ergo your post is from a bot. If all humans are bots then it's a zombie world and so on.
It's easy to make shit up as philosophers when nobody can prove you wrong.

        >It's easy to make shit up as philosophers when nobody can prove you wrong.
But that's the fun part, coming up with shit and debating said shit based purely on logic. That's why philosopy developed in the first place

Because having morons not even *comprehend* what you do, much less how you do it, helps stoke their ego.

Just read some of the schizobabble you'll get in this thread

I fricking hate historians, atleast the ones who get degrees/phd's and think they are gods gift to mankind. An absolute pathetic frick, someone who prior i considered a friend, said the following while on an acid trip with me: "while on acid i like to think about concepts and thoughts which would be taboo otherwise, i genuinely think at this point i just logically and morally justify rape..." thinking he was some lofty intellect.

I stopped him there and realised this frickwit is a piece of shit and decided to Dig into him and his life, really pushed hard. Turned out this pathetic cretin was a virgin until he was 33, got himself an Indian gf (was obsessed with India for some baffling reason) and even she didn't want to have sex with him. I dug so deep and made him feel so uncomfortable with his own existence and then kicked him out of my house mid Trip to find a way home. If the b***hing and crying he did to joint people we knew is anything to go by hes still traumatised by it to this day.

    Fricking historians man. worthless.

as a mathematician the ego is purely because people always praise you, but in reality I feel like a fricking idiot and I want to cry all the time, but I have to pretend to be a giga brain for everyone else.

Yeah but it fricking hurts. The amount of moments I feel smart are like maybe a few times a year. Think I might quit grad school and sell out to whatever industry is the bawdtiest prostitute for mathematicians who love graph theory and fourier analysis.

from that graph it looks to me like other fields don't respect them and that's it.

    This is a DOGSHIT graph.

First, the data points are definitely NOT points because they are likely averages of many data points. As such they should be at least plotted with X-Y error bars to give an idea of distribution. Second, I guarantee the fits aren't accounting for this, while the yellow and blue fits would be the same, whatever error is associated with them would change.

Secondly, there are definitely other factors at play, and there should be a factor variable of STEM and Humanities as that's clearly a significant variable.

Third, what the frick were people asked to rate along? 1-10 scale? Did anyone check that people were interpreting 1-10 correctly? Ordinal regression is literally step one with any of these types of studies because participants likely have different interpretations of scales and labels.

Philosophy is what you do if you want all the credit for being smart but instead of working hard to create or discover meaningful things you just want to get high and shit out useless gibberish that accomplishes nothing for the world except padding your CV

      >creating a system of ethics is less meaningful than finding le 48th dimensional noncommutative geometric schizosphere counterexample
This is how bugmen scientists literally think

Correct. Because you bloviating for 50 pages about what the LSD fairies told you "ethics" means in a paper that at most 5 people including the journal editors will ever read will have no discernible impact on anyone or anything, while discovering the 48th dimension could be pivotal in unlocking intergalactic travel 500 years from now.

Like the majority of modern mathematics and theoretical physics?
Meanwhile cognitive scientists working with philosophers develop intelligence simulating algorithms leading to AI while string theorists jerk off with differential geometers

For a bunch of supposedly smart people, nobody in the thread has questioned if the graph even reflects real data
