      good morning sir
also even if it were strictly local (which it's not).
You'll need a separate TB drive just to store the database(s)

        >You'll need a separate TB drive just to store the database(s)
It's AI it doesn't need a databse, you dont know what you're talking about.

Nadella himself said that they will be watching everything you do with the local models in order to keep them safe.

        >Nadella himself said that they will be watching everything you do with the local models in order to keep them safe.
Ahh I see, so here's the thing: I'm not a pedophile nor a criminal so I have nothing to hide. Maybe your case is different.

Yes goyim, it's all local, trust us.

Just like you trust your linux kernel, goy

Then why aren't you asking for a government or Microsoft employee to permanently follow you and record your every move? Why aren't you constantly live streaming everything you do in your house? Why aren't you uploading all your online conversions to the internet so everyone can see them? Record your next phone conversation and upload it here. You have nothing to hide.

So the frick what, you COULD counter this but you’re too lazy so the next easiest thing is to come to IQfy and b***h & moan like you always do
    >meh, M$ is is unironically cooked! Im moving to linux
No the frick you aren’t, because on top of being lazy you know why you aren’t leaving?
Software on non Mac and non Windows system isn’t anywhere comparable to that of Windows.
Sure, Linux has the basics like word processors, spreadsheets makers and email clients but beyond that, the support for all the “cool shit” is slow and few and far in between.
Stop proselytizing on a site full of empty threat makers,
You will be using this feature rather you like it or not, and not because you’re forced to but because your crybaby b***h ass is too lazy to make your own way.

          no, i don't know actually
i've been using linux since 2019ish and haven't really experienced a lack of software, everything I want either works natively (video/audio players), works via steam proton (games, CAD software) or has an alternative that's usually better (davinci resolve vs premiere)
so what software that count's as "cool shit" does linux not have...? what can you not possibly live without?

Good Lord the coping is goes hard!
Counter argument: I have nothing to hide so why are you watching?
Counter point: only draconian tyrants and original fascists have ever pushed "nothing to hide, nothing to fear" because you DO have *something* to hide and a lot more to fear, in the eyes of those 'above' you are meat to be exploited and toyed with, maybe killed if someone feels like it. The government in all levels is not to be trusted in part because they do not trust you. If the feds have nothing to hide then why do classified documents exist and why is it always some atrocity when it's declassified?
        >muh national security
If it was about national security, they'd extend secrecy to civilians
        >for the greater good!
When you sacrifice the individual for the collective you sacrifice the collective for nothing because the collective is made of individuals. Beside which, not a single crime has ever been stopped by mass surveillance only wrongthink and the like.

All the privacy issues aside, I really don't see any sort of use-case for tis feature.

In all my years of using a computer, I don't think I can recall a time I have ever thought "Geesh, I sure wish I can see what my screen looked like 5 hours ago". It would have to be some very niche scenario. And the cost vs benefit of having to pretty much dedicate a separate partition and use a butt load of GB just to cover this very unlikely scenario seems stupid.

Looks like its definitely a case of a solution in search of a problem.

Yeah, I think most people won't give a frick about privacy, but I think even the most moronic normie will be annoyed when their storage keeps getting filled with garbage they'll never use.
For frick's sake, some of the new Surface Pro are sold with 256 GB of storage, and if people buy them it'll be only to have a Windows device with a battery that lasts all day, not because of this meme "feature," how many days can 256 GB last until the storage is completely full? It'll be just the same terrible experience people had from those cheap netbooks back in the day, except that with $1000+ devices with "Pro" in its name, I have no idea what they were thinking.

Not to mention, yet another useless "service" running in the background, amongst the nearly hundreds that seem to be chugging along whenever I check. I remember back in Win95 days, there were about 5 processes running in Task Manager whenever I checked, and I could explain them all.

Nows its almost fricking impossible to keep up with it. No wonder computers with 100x the capacity still seem to run slow as shit. Its because of Windows moronic need to keep adding this gay little "features" all the time.

Wish I could just get a fricking OS that lets me navigate to a program and let me open it...kinda like what an OS is supposed to do. Not with all this extra resource-draining clutter constantly running in the background.

      this

      >want to open a file I've opened a few minutes or hours ago?
use the recently opened files feature that's pretty much on every program ever?

      >want to visit a website I've visited a few minutes or hours ago?
maybe use the web history feature that every single web browser already has?

      >I've forgot what was the name of location of a file I've visited/opened a while ago
there's jump lists, the recently opened list on the start menu, the file explorer itself has a directory history built in

what problem is Recall trying to solve, exactly?

        Anonymous

This just reminded me that shit like CCleaner is very popular because even regular people weren't happy with their computer remembering every file they opened.
In a world where literally millions of people use a program just to delete a few KBs of logs, the idea of wasting several GBs to store screencaps of everything the user does sounds even more moronic.
