Well, pretty much all of those have been standardized nowadays.
        >audio system
Almost every distro moved from PulseAudio to Pipewire

        Systemd

        X11 until Wayland isn't shit

        >widget toolkit
Completely irrelevant. You can use anything you want and there doesn't need to be a standard as no OS has a standard for this.
        >DE
Again, no standard needs to exist. But, KDE and Gnome are the 2 real options here.
        >installing software
Again, no OS has a real standard for this except iOS which doesn't allow you to install software outside of their app store, making it irrelevant. The current trend seem to be that your distros package manager should be used for system/DE stuff and Flatpak for user applications.

Few reasons. Us Germans do not have a lot of trust in private corporations or the gubbermint having our data. Furthermore, we do not like change, especially when stuff becomes shittier, as is case with windows.

I unironically believe all the grammar and inflection causes people to be able to think in ways that other people, who do not speak languages with such grammar rules, don't.
        But also vice-versa.
Supposedly, eastern European languages are grammatically even more complex and unsurprisingly, the also seem to have higher ratios of good programmers.
