      What exactly is wrong with bit mapped fonts? It's the only way to maximize use of every pixel. Vector fonts are sloppy but you can get away with the slop by throwing money at the hardware.

      I started using that when it became a meme a few years ago, just to try something different. Been using it pretty much since. I can easy tell the difference between 0 and O, and 1 and l, that's all I need. And it looks pretty enough to me.

    What are some nice big bitmap fonts? I hate antialiasing but I still have a normal sized monitor. I like terminus but it's too tiny at 1x but too big at 2x.
    Alternatively If there's some way to align ttf fonts so that all straight lines match the pixel grid perfectly I could use that.

    I use Verdana, it works really well. Monospace is not needed for code as formatting whitespace is always at the start of the line. It's only necessary if you use boomer tier "the equals must line up" formatting
