I don't programmer at Amazon pee in bottle, but they do get put on-call 24/7, so you can get woken up at 2 AM to fix some code.

    Don't worry.
We had a bug in a multithreaded C program that corrupted memory and caused the program to fail without crashing.
When the program ran using Valgrind, the bug didn't happen
I changed chunks of the build process to add support for the Sanitizers (ASAN, UBSAN, TSAN) but it wouldn't happen either.
I disabled huge chunks of code, checked function calls, libraries (we used curl and other stuff), no dice.
I found out one of our libs wasn't compiled properly. We fixed it, but the bug was still there.
I found out dependencies used over all company projects were erroneous, such as Apache still using OpenSSL 1 instead of 3. We fixed it, but the bug still happened.

The bug was: uninitialized variable when curl triggers a signal. A single condition statement missing.
    Total time wasted: a month.
    TL;DR I'm happier with Java.

You should only use ai as a linter, and triple check anything it flags. Run it a few times until you yourself can't actually find anything and all it produces are maybes and hallucinations

Just about, though you could maximize it by finding a corpo that doesen't care about billability and coast for months at a time. It's been ~5 months with nothing but anime and games now.

you should at least work on some pet projects for yourself, anon. that way you develop your skills for yourself only, and later in life you'll be able to land a job somewhere where you're paid double and coast again.

its so dumb that most languages require all these special symbols. it should not be failing just because someone didn't put a pointless , or over 9000 {} that some nerd insisted on wanting there. as it goes down to the machines real language these hard to notice and type symbols have no function
