>One guy says he doesn't wanna retire because the life expectancy of a retired man is less than a decade
>Another guy adds in a story about how an older coworker waited to retire until 65 to get the full pension and social security and dies before getting it

Is this wagie cope? I didn't wanna add that the life expectancy of a us male is around 75 and retirement age is 65

How is life expectancy in this country so low? People in my family all make it to 80 no problem and most live until their late 90s. Is it because the rest of you subsist solely off goyslop?

This. Same with meth-addicted trailer trash living in food deserts who basically have corn syrup in everything they eat.

So the government can extract every last hour of labor for you in your pitiful existence, and then "retire" when you are crippled and have numerous health issues

          ughhhhhhhhhhhh

Long time ago I joined a major airline working in a small team led by a guy in his 70s. We used to design and implement rerouting optimization algorithms. Joke used to be for this guy this is not a job but his hobby, and he will probably just die working in his seat. I eventually left the company, but stayed in touch. Soon after I left the old dude retired too, surprisingly. He was still alert, we kept in touch, and I could discuss complex algorithms with him. He intended to use his flight benefits and ample investments to travel and enjoy tine with grandkids etc. Two years later I hear he died.

incredibly sad, this should instill existential dread within any thinking man

Year is 2024 and people still don't realize life expectancy is largely within their own control. Stay skinny and fit, eat good nutrition, get plenty of sleep, stay active, exercise both brain and body. At that point the only thing killing you is some kind of freak event like cancer.

The problem is a lot of retired folks go full sedentary vegetable. They sit still the entire day, eat slop, rot away quickly.

You don't control the poison they spray your produce with (even "organic").
You don't control the covid vaccines they inject your cloned meat with.
You don't control the fluoride and other chemicals dumped in the water supply.
But don't worry, the "science" deems it all "safe and effective."

I quit smoking to invest all my money on crypto. I miss it so much. That first cigarette in the morning felt like heaven. I'm on my second week and feel so tired.

it takes like a month then its kinda over, if you make it to 3 months you are rid of it.

          T. smoked 2 cig in the past 1 year due to alcohol. and then didn't smoke more.

Young people think that diseases are "freak events" lmao. There's a lot more than just cancer that can kill you, and a lot of that stuff you start getting randomly at 40+ just because you're an old frick.

many people dont know what to do with their free time
they get thrown into a life they didnt have for the last 50 years
without a plan after retiring they are doomed

i knew a guy who worked as a roofer for 58 years, 3 months after retirement he was ded

It is about enjoying life. If you have a hobby or just something you like to do, Or relatives or friends that you like to talk. My friend dad drinks like crazy smoke is fat. But he clearly enjoys life, always laughing, and is retired at 56 and now 61. Of course, it is nowhere written that he will not die in his 60s, but so far, he seems full of life.
