it's perfectly healthy to be jealous, it's a human trait that has driven people to great things.

stop being afraid of being human.

Self hatred in the form stoic purity spiraling won't make you live any longer or give you a higher quality of life.

Jealousy isn't healthy. It can make you do stupid things because it's purely emotional, not rational, like killing someone because your wife is talking to a man, among many many other dumb things. Stoicism isn't self-hatred. Ethics, ignoring the cosmology stuff, in stoicism is about being rational about your emotions, not being a dumb beast with lower consciousness.

all humans are animals, you can't and won't escape the biological programing.

Jealously makes you work harder simple as. I'm not saying being a Jealous fool is good. I'm saying having jealousy and using it as carrot-stick is normal and productive.

Yes, if someone put shit on a plate I wouldn't eat it happily. Also I wouldn't sit quietly if the difficult news was that someone has a gun to my head and it's a game of me being loud for 5 seconds to be spared. And if my neighbors went to a literal fantastic place, as in a portal fantasy situation, then I'd be a bit jealous. If a family member caused the Mafia to come after me for debt, then I'd get a bit anxious. If running around somehow caused me a lot of physical pain, like if I tripped and hurt my knee, then I might take ibuprofen and water before bed. If where I am is a battle zone, then I'd probably be a bit worried about dying.

The point of stoicism is not that you do not feel, but that you do not allow what you feel to rule you. Difficult news should not lead to persistent misery. Jealousy should not be allowed to grow and consume.

stoicism isnt being braindead and emotionless its about introspecting and acknowledging your emotions and using them as a tool for understanding your mind rather than just guiding your actions

There probably wouldn't be much progress/business if everyone was happy with the little they have and didn't wish and strive for more.

The Black folk of progress always only make things worse. I don't know if Hegel was a satanist or something but his teachings are slowly killing us all.

    >The term cynic derives from Ancient Greek κυνικός (kynikos) 'dog-like', and κύων (kyôn) 'dog' (genitive: kynos)
I don't think stating the etymology of a philosophy counts as an own.
