Finally, a platform where my favorite Unix programs and services only sort-of work, resulting in me needing to use Linux VMs anyway. What would I ever do without it.

      You're using it wrong.

Yeah, using it right would be paying for bullshit app store software and doing real-world development with fricking xcode. I don't want it.

The only reason it stops your distrohopping is because after you use it, you realize that anything is better than that and any Linux distro will do just fine.

There is literally nothing that can compete with M1 for its performance:power:price ratio. Nothing even comes remotely close. It is sitting in its own league and there isn’t a single laptop that can try to challenge it.

It tried to, they even made their own CPU to make it hard to install Linux on their hardware. But the asahi project happened and so people distro hop on apple shit.

Nah. Windows 11 is STILL in beta state at best. Task view/workspaces are still laggy as frick to switch between. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are still wonky on laptops. Unless you have a third-party firewall like SimpleWall or Window Firewall Control, it will phone-home a shit-ton more than Windows 10 LTSC 2021 (where it was minimal). The taskbar still sucks ass; its way too thick, still stuck to the bottom of the screen, and the system icons are still padded-out. The Start Menu is still garbage, too. Explorer is still laggy; there is a delay on opening tabs, it STILL flashbangs you in dark mode and the new context menu buries useful entries in ANOTHER MENU, for no good reason.

Unless you got StartAllBack and Windhawk to make 11 'tolorable', don't bother. Windows 10 LTSC IOT still runs everything.

      >t. Dual booting Windows 10 & 11 LTSC IOT.

i switched from linux to mac for the first 2 years of college before going back to linux because apple's hardware fricking sucks. it's crazy just how bad they are at putting a computer together. everyone i knew had horrible issues with every key on their shit ass keyboards falling apart, some module thats 1000$ to replace breaking inside the computer for no reason and making the screen no longer turn on, etc. the os was kind of comfy though, but i still prefer nixos, and best of all nixos is supported on good hardware, unlike macos

Windows users are braindead morons who are beyond saving.
Linux users are midwit pseudo-intellectuals who have never created anything useful.
Mac users are self respecting white people who have jobs and contribute to society by writing good software.
Not surprising most IQfy users are Linux users since most of them are talentless fools.
