Get real. “suicide is selfish!” Okay? It’s equally as selfish to want someone to do something they don’t want to do and if something someone else wants to do is kill themselves you can try to convince them to do something else just like all things but at the end of the day accept their own decision and don’t b***h about it.

The rest of you are the victim. You are not a single person, you are a consortium ruling over a collective of cells. Why do you think the word You is used for both singular and plural?

most moronic post on IQfy, and that's no mean achievement. English is a primitive language that does not make such distinctions, but every other language does.

I would find it personally offensive and to be honest I'd probably shoot first and ask questions later. That it goes against my entirely personal code of ethics, influenced as they are by the predominantly Christian West in which I grew up, does not imply any sort of universal morality nor does it imply that sin is real.

If I were God, I’d respect suicide, and still mark it up as a sin but not an unforgivable one (even if there is such a thing as an objectively unforgivable sin which there really isn’t except maybe blaspheming the Holy Spirit which is still iffy). Suicide is respectable because it takes the strongest type of person to do it, especially when it’s over something little, it takes someone brave enough to give zero fricks and be able to the finger to literally everything: life society family friends God satan themselves everything. Suicide is the only way to truly defeat everyone, all it takes is to defeat yourself first.

My dad killed himself with a gun when I was 12 years old
I walked in on him and saw blood but not much more because I vomited and then fainted
If I ever decide to convert to Christianity it means that I have to accept that my father, who suffered so much from depression and chronic pain his entire life, is going to be consciously tortured forever

I'm so sorry about your dad anon. I like to think he's no longer suffering, but because he killed himself, you have to suffer the psychological trauma of losing him. For his sake, please live and if you are troubled, don't be scared to open up. You know how hard it was to lose a loved one, so don't do that to your loved ones is all I can say.

      No you would not.

      Catechism on suicide.

      >Grave psychological disturbances, anguish, or grave fear of hardship, suffering, or torture can diminish the responsibility of the one committing suicide.
      >We should not despair of the eternal salvation of persons who have taken their own lives. By ways known to him alone, God can provide the opportunity for salutary repentance. the Church prays for persons who have taken their own lives.

There's a lot more there, but these parts are most relevant to the discussion.

I don't think Christians seriously internalize this thought. Whenever one of their own does it you see justification for why it does not actually count or how the hope God can make an exception. If God can or will make an exception then why would he not regularly be doing it?

    So according to the Christcucks:
    > God makes Robin Williams
    > Gives him a rare genetic trait that dictates his brain will start to rot once he hits 60
    > He will slowly lose motor function and control of his body.
    > As it progresses he will lose all of his memories. His childhood, his life, what his daughter looks like, and eventually will begin to lose his sense of self.
    > In the end he will spend the last few years of his life in constant fear. Confined to a wheelchair, shitting in a bag, with no idea who he is or where he is.
    > When Robin learns of this he says " nah" and commits suicide.
    > God damns him to be tortured in hell for being "weak".

But remember, God loves you and knows what's best for you.
