Nonsense. It was a Slavic king (Ottokar II) of Bohemia who funded and organized the Prussian crusade. Königsberg was named in his honor. If there's anyone who should be mad about the Teutons, it's the Balts, not Slavs. Unless you believe literal 19th century Polack propaganda.

They're primary concern was the spread of German culture and language at the expense of Slavs, and that's a good thing

No, their primary concern was converting and subjugating Baltic pagans. This board is really bad at actual history.

            > their primary concern was converting and subjugating Baltic pagans.
That's why instead of converting them they would kill them all and import German immigrants. And why they would murder Catholic Poles

So the entire meme about Slavs randomly exploding out of some Ukrakinian swamp in the 500s was bullshit all along.

They did explode out of a Ukrainian swamp in the 500s but it doesn't mean they weren't in other places before. Germanic and Celtic expansions pushed them eastwards.

No, they actually did spawn from nowhere: a major climate change occurred after the roman warm period, and proto-slavs population skyrocketed in late antiquity.

there is no point in fantasizing about the Ukrainian swamp, since the Tollense battle clearly demonstrates to you the presence of the Slavs much earlier.

Proto-Balto-Slavic people(or something similar to that) were in Pomerania at that time but they do not have continuity to modern populations. Modern West Slavs derive from a population that expanded out of Polesia in the early Middle Ages. There were Slavs in Sicily too at Himera but that doesn't make Romanians natives to the island

For starters, it would be nice to see evidence of the passage of a bottleneck somewhere in the territory of modern Ukraine.

All available evidence indicates it and there are no credible alternate theories. As you are a Slavic nationalist, I suppose you take it as a matter of personal importance that you have biological continuity to your residence for several thousand years, but even the Tollense samples have a great distance to any modern population. Modern Slav-like individuals are not spotted anywhere until the Iron Age.

R1b will never return to the steppe again.

proves otherwise, even the study that sequenced these men confirmed that their closest modern matches are Slavic nations.

Closest yes, distance is still high and these individuals are not equivalent to Slavs. They are as distant from Poles as Germans are.

They are their own thing, really. They aren't related to Germans or Slavs, but some samples could be Balto-Slavic related.

I can't find most of them anymore. I think Davidsky deleted all except one.

They have high BS drift so they are somehow related to Balto-Slavs but we haven't figured out this story yet. They are just one strange clue among many for now.

Slavs were allways there, but shifted somewhat westward from their core in the wake of the hunnic invasions. Goth remnant materal and paternal (10%) dna in Poles show this westward push (assimilation by slavs instead of invasion).

They did explode out of a Ukrainian swamp in the 500s but it doesn't mean they weren't in other places before. Germanic and Celtic expansions pushed them eastwards.

The steppe was controlled for thousands of years by R1 people which disappear conveniently and suddenly half of modern R1 men appear out of a magical swamp in the form of Slavs. Seems a bit far fetched.
