    Absolutely shit list.
    >International Space Station (Exploration)
    >Oak Ridge (Military)
    >UN Building (Diplo)
    >Eiffel Tower (Culture)
    >Suez/Panama Canal (Trade)
    >Large Hadron Collider (Science)
    >3 Gorges Dam (Energy)
All the above mog your tourist traps.

I'd hardly consider the UN building to be some wonder of the world, The One World Trade Center unironically would deserve that title way better. Tallest in the western hemisphere, a symbol of neoliberalism and American defiance, intentionally nerfed in terms of height just to make a statement (muh 1776ft tall!)

        >The first place where representatives from every nation on the Earth have gathered
        >Not a wonder

        >Muh shitty glass tower
        >Muh 9/11
        >Fricking Yanks, I swear

Eiffel Tower is quite the definition of a tourist trap
        also have a nice day.

Exactly, it's "the" tourist trap. It's the global symbol of travel, romance, 'culture' and the Enlightened world. It mogs anything on OP's list in terms of symbolism.

A symbol of the industrial revolution is needed somewhere tho.

The UN building is significant, but I'd hardly call it a "wonder of the world" in the same vein as the Palace of Versailles or Taj Mahal when its literally just a giant glass rectangle.

            >Taj Mahal vs UN Building
You've got to be kidding me, kek.
The Taj Mahal means nothing, it's just some random c**ts tomb. It's been done millions of times before.
The UN building symoblises the biggest achievement of global diplomacy; a place where the entire world gathers and speaks without slaughtering each other. It also marks the end of the world's bloodiest war, and marks the transition of power from the UK to USA, and beginning of Cold War diplomacy.

The gays in this thread seem to think that a "wonder" = "pretty bulding". That was important 5000 years ago, when stacking bricks = innovation, but today, we've moved beyond the physical in many ways.

The Seven Wonders of the World aren't bound to your RTS game stats, you dummy.

            >There's no different aspects of the world which should be represented. Only pretty buildings count.
            You're a homosexual.

OP - like always - would've done well to define terms.

            >Sistine Chapel
Represents muh big bad scary God

            >Oak Ridge
Represents hundreds of thousands of men coming together to create a literal apocalyptic weapon, which changed the concept of warfare forever. Also ushered in a new age.

Modern = everything after the fall of the western empire, I wont elaborate.

I would place it firmly at the Industrial Revolution/Enlightenment.

OP's examples are all great buildings, but scream of Dark Age/Middle Age thought.

    >Taj Mahal
Yeah, kinda boring, but the symmetry is cool
    >Versailles
    Absolutely boring
    >Alhambra
    Meh
    >St. Peter Basilica
    Beautiful
    >Koln Cathedral
    So and so
    >Sistine Chapel
Beautiful, but its kinda redundant with St Peter already on the list. They should be a single item
    >Angkor Wat
    Absolutely based

    My ideal list would be:
    >Taj Mahal
    >The Vatican (as a whole)
    >Angkor Wat
    >Teotihuacan
    >Forbidden City
    >Jeronimos Monastery
    >Sheikh Zayed Mosque

    >Augustus of Prima Porta

I think whoever has been to Teotihuacan would add it to the list of 7 wonders, it is just overwhelming and to think we dont really know who built it and the name is what the aztecs named it when they found it abandoned. meaning city of gods.
