If you refuse to live inside the Anti-Stalin mental paradigm and actually ask the questions and point out the facts your ‘not allowed’ to, Then the entire Liberal/Nazi/NAFOtroony worldview completely implodes on itself, they are entirely predicated on the picture of Stalin as a living devil.

Without it, their ideologies literally have no reason to exist into the modern world, Because the ‘history of the 20th century’ they’ve been fed their entire lives are false.

    Truth does not FEAR investigation,

Your sources are nothing but propaganda. There is plenty of evidence that Stalin was responsible for the Ukrainian famine. Furthermore, the Gulag was a death camp where millions of people were killed. Your claims are blatantly false and your arguments are self-refuting. I have no time to waste on your empty diatribe. I am ending this debate now.

      >the Gulag was a death camp
They operated forced labour camps. Excessive mortality was just under 10%. The goal was not to kill everyone who got into a camp. And GULAG was the name of the agency.

tbh I'm willing to give the Soviets a lot more leeway re: famine deaths since the war wasn't of their making and they didn't want it

    >muh gulag
Most people in the West would support the idea of "letting criminals do some work" instead of just sitting around in cells all day if you actually proposed it. They were not death camps or concentration camps.

      Anonymous

They were death camp in practice. If you were gulag'd your chances to survive and tell the story were basically zero. The idea was solid, but implementation a fricking disaster.

NTA, But even a quick glance Wikipedia or other sources says that the amount of people who were sent to / worked in gulags was about 18 million over the course of around 35 years. And ~1.8 million people died in gulags for various reasons.
It was more like you had a 1/18 chance of dying, not like you were being sent on a certain suicide trip

            I know, right?
There's reason why most STEM people aren't Marxists, and most humanities majors are - they're too stupid to even understand basic math but want run the economy with their ideas.

            Anonymous

Most STEM majors arent marxists because they dont even know what it is, they dont read books or know anything about history. They just defer to popular opinion about these things. By and large, anyway.
Humanities homosexuals are equally ignorant about math and science. The real problem is that universities create experts instead of Renaissance men.

Are you really that moronic you think most people don't know the history of communism when its a publically available from countless news articles and testimony from people who have lived in such countries?
Someone may have to shoot your brains out if you're that stupid.

Yes homosexual obviously they went to school and know these things at public school education level. But the average intelligent STEMoid doesnt go any farther into those subjects than their basic mandatory education.
They dont deny communism because they have done intelligent analysis dismantling it. They deny communism because that's the default opinion to have about it.
Meanwhile the other anon is also correct that the average humanities midwit doesnt know enough math to think logicially about the economy.

            >But the average intelligent STEMoid doesnt go any farther into those subjects than their basic mandatory education.
So you're going to play dumb, and not recognize the fact that higher education, especially in the universities, are filled with 60-70s doctrinaries, who were Marxist radicals in the day?
Everything you're saying is moronic, and I'm think you're the stupid one here.

            Anonymous

Obviously they are, in the humanities. The STEM people dont give a shit about that, they just do their bean counting. When Marxist shit affects them with diversity bullshit and so on, they simply accept it unthinkingly and go on with their work, because they have no frame of reference to even think about those things. When they leave college and enter anti-Marxist social milieus, they simply accept those beliefs as well. The internal contradictions are irrelevant to them, since they literally dont think about it.

This is plain cope. I have no trouble finding people to exchange IQfy book recommendations with and I'm a STEMcel, yet those particular individuals are as far from marxism as can be.

What stem field? I did my undergrad in pure math in a top 20 US schol and most people in the degree program knew almost nothing above a high school level in history or philosophy.

This is less a ‘Soviet’ thing and more a ‘Russians have pretty much always set up their prisons to be intentionally shitty as possible as to frighten people into not committing crimes’ kind of thing.
The MC being sent of to a Siberian Labour-Farm/Camp is literally how ‘Crime and Punishment’ ends, and it was written in the 1860s

Morals and liberal human-rights norms aside, putting your convicts in the middle of some permafrost where if a dicky rapist escapes he just freezes to death a kilometre away from the jail serves a realistic purpose.
