      Cool story moron.

Wouldn't she have been a neanderthal, and probably deeply unimpressed that you couldn't comfortably bench-press 10 times your bodyweight?

I will do what my ancestors likely did: create the neo-WHG Cromagnids through now-illegal ways

There's a decent chance that even a fairly unimpressive neanderthal female could break every bone in your body without breaking a sweat. Snu Snu is only going to occur if she wants it, and it's probably not going to help your fractures heal.

The muscles and tendons were place differently on neanderthals which combined with their thick and sturdy bones, made them much stronger than humans.

The burden of proof is on you. There's no peninsula there right now and you have no proof that there ever was one.

Are you genuinely this moronic? Or just that uninterested in the quality of your weaksauce troling?
            >we know that the area of (what is currently seafloor) was significantly higher than the surrounding area
            >We know that the sea level was significantly lower tens of thousands of years ago - as part of a cycle of it rising and falling naturally over thousands of years.
            >We know, therefore, that this place was above water at that time.
            >Wherever you have an area above water you will eventually get plants on top of it
            >Wherever you have plants you'll have animals there to eat them
            >Some of those animals were almost certainly our protohuman ancestors - who would live basically anywhere that didn't actively kill them as long as there was food there.

It's a shame that we're probably never going to be able to conduct proper archaeological surveys to work out more about these people and how they lived - but pretending that they're a myth, and that the area itself never existed, is the sort of thing that would have a flat-earther calling you a moron. Do you also believe that the moon is a fake hologram projected by evil government conspiracies?

We basically know what the inhabitants were by the surroundings. Prehistoric Europe is not really that diverse honestly.

            Anonymous

True, but there's a big difference between being able to pick out which branch of protohumans they were, and being able to work out the detail (or as close as we can get after that many thousands of years) of how they lived.

            Anonymous

I mean, we have the surrounding material cultures too. They won't be exceptional, they could probably be classified as part of known material cultures. It's not like hunter-gatherer lifestyles can vary in so many ways either(?).

            Anonymous

It's one thing to assume that, and another to know it. For all we know they could have been somehow exceptional - but odds are we'll never know.

Look, if you want to talk shit, charter a boat and go out there for yourself. Drop a line in the water, and measure the depth. It's that simple. Go out there, and see if you can disprove a fact that sailors have known for centuries.

You can walk around Scotland and see that the ice sheets used to stretch much further south. The evidence is carved all over the landscape. Glaciers lock up a lot of water, the sea levels must have been lower when everything north of Birmingham was under a hundreds of feet of ice.

If you want to believe in bullshit, that's your prerogative. But frick off and stop wasting our time until you have something to back it up.

it would have been either ingvaeonic or isvaeonic so either danish or firisian, major competition to the british isles, would have been the main base to organize raids to the isles and north sea coast, today either part of demark, the netherlands, uk or it's own nation, kinda hard to measure since all could have taken possession at some point depending on relative success and would have changed the course of many wars in the area. likely a naval power with a water wok engineering culture similar to the dutch

A big theme in conan is that technology and civilization is cyclical. Great civilizations rise, then fall to apocalypse, then rise again. Atlantis > Hyborean Age (Conan) > Rise of the sons of Aryas (Aryan invasion, modern era). It would fit the conan analogy if ironworking was lost and then rediscovered.

Conan cimmerians aren't steppe people, aren't horsemen, and don't appear middle eastern in either climate or physical appearance. The Nords are north of them, the French are south, so Cimmeria is likely meant to be either a particularly frigid england or germany.
