            Like I said in

I don't like conquering land in this game. Enslaving people and sacking cities feels terrible.

, I feel bad for waging war in this game due to the pop system. I've already diplomatically made my southern neighbours into tributaries anyway.

Funnily enough they're the most productive pops in terms of research and taxes, just like in real life. The Philistines, on the other hand, despite being more numerous only produce a fraction of those mana points.

            Anonymous

That's because you granted them citizenship, anon. Only Citizens and Nobles can produce research points. There's also the fact that Hebrews are weirdly numerous, in this game. Judea itself is very densely populated and there are Hebrew diaspora minorities literally everywhere.

            >That's because you granted them citizenship, anon.
Yeah, I know. I also granted everyone else the same status.
            >weirdly numerous, in this game.
Is it inaccurate? The ME/NA was very densely populated for most of history.

            >gave everyone citizenship
            >claims to play tall
Are you unaware of the crippling happiness penalties your primary culture suffers once you give citizenship to too many other cultures ? Beyond three or four, your primary culture's productivity goes to absolute shit.
Also, it is not inaccurate per se for Judea to be densely populated, but neighboring Phoenicia should be even more dense, and as it stands, it really isn't.
There's also the fact that while some Hebrew diaspora in Syria, Babylonia, Egypt, Persia and maybe Anatolia makes sense at this point, other communities elsewhere don't (in fact the start of the game is when broader diaspora communities all over the Mediterranean are just starting to spread). The devs just got lazy and decided not to implement Hebrew migration mechanics, so instead you have israeli Hebrews literally everywhere, as far west as Spain and as far north as Ukraine.

Oh yeah I'm not denying it, just suggesting that the fever could have been what killed him even if it was poison. He also could have gotten bitten by a mosquito carrying a local virus he had no immunity too, or suffered chronic organ failure from the fact that he was a raging alcoholic, or any number of things. Poisoning seems pretty fricking likely given his position of course, I'm just agnostic on it because honestly he was in a position where it could have been just about anything.

It's pretty clear Alexander was vain person. He never cared to forge an empire or lasting state like his father did. He simply wanted to be a great and prestigious conqeuror.
He was a magnificent tactician but in all other respects he's outclassed by the other greats
