That is one of my fears. But that implies it doesn't have a TV mode? That can't be right.

The stutter is an inherent problem with OLED panels caused by the near instant pixel response time.

        As opposed to LCDs?

See this chart for the difference in response times between LCD and OLED.

          ?t=276

Motion clarity at higher refresh rates isn't what's being discussed here. We're talking about movie playback. So sorry ChatGPT kinda vibes you're giving off here. I did not ask for the differences between two things

Are you moronic, I just linked to the chart for the response times, I didn't say the rest of the video had anything to do with it.

So instead of posting a chart. You posted a link to a chart. And you're calling me moronic?

what's the fricking difference, idiot, is your internet that shit?

Why don't OLED displays have an option to show the image only for a fraction of the frame time. Then the eye would naturally "blur" the frames.

don't OLED gaming monitors have this feature?

Does BFI @ 240hz fix this in theory?

          Anonymous

I'm sure it does but LG has yet to implement that feature in most of their TVs

1x BFI with OLED means burn in goes twice as fast.

OLEDs don't really have the necessary sustained average panel brightness for that
If you drove them at double the brightness to compensate you'd burn one out within a year

        >24 FPS actually is 24 distinct frames with no overlap
        >This is somehow a bad thing

I do not have this issue, but I have a HTPC configured to display the output at 120hz and 5*24=120, I think my computer is a pretty smart guy cuz he knows what to do automatically.

    FRICK
    ARE
    YOU

Most tv are 120hz so 24 fps play isn't an issue, what fricking model do you have problems with?

It's people with an odd configuration or who have never actually tried setting something like this up. If the source input is 60 hz but the source media is 24 hz, it can cause stuttering. If you have the wrong HDMI cable or never researched your components, you can be running your panel at 60 hz without knowing.

I think even webOS is fine too, I watched a few movies directly from a USB stick on my C2 before I set my PC up and they were fine.

Like a lot of this board, morons talking about shit they don't understand.

Most TVs have features to directly address this.
It's usually under the same settings for motion interpolation but there is a mode/setting for dealing with 3:2 pull down judder issues on a 60hz signal without actual interpolation

Gotcha. Before I bought my TV I did a ton of research about how to use it for what I want to use it for. You would think these anons would do the same thing before spending the dough. . .
