No, it doesn't offer anything I need.
Also why did they make it that expensive?

      >Also why did they make it that expensive?
You can have it for free you know...

No, and honestly, I'm considering switching to Debian now.

      Why is that?

If you can have it for free, it should just be rolled into the OS. End of.

Did you buy SLED? Or RHEL? Are you Walmart with billions of POS machines and servers?
So why would you Ubuntu Pro? Even if it is free.
But on surface that's great, because Linux distros have a history of lack of support after quite some time, to the point that SUSE kinda wants to switch to rolling.

Even Google uses Debian now. Only morons (cough Microsoft) push ushitu. I'm still seething when a ushitu update broke my production environment in Azure.

funny you call us morons when you're the one using azure of all things

It's not by choice. I strongly encouraged we stop using it because it's objectively worse than AWS by a lot and AWS is also shitty. The biggest frick you of Azure is the "storage" services. Enjoy your subtle Winshit <-> Poosix semantics mismatch break your shitty container storage in your homosexual managed AKS cluster. It *will* happen and Microshit will not fix it because they're all pajeets.

What are these security updates it provides? Do they update packages on Pro and leave non-Pro packages with vulnerabilities?

No, because I update to the latest LTS on my server when it's available.

It provides extended support, they back port security patches to old packages. It's for servers that can't afford the downtime of upgrading OS and want to stay secure for as long as possible.
For anyone on IQfy, they're better off updating to the latest LTS.

This. If you can afford to take a machine out of service for a little bit to update to the newer LTS and maybe deal with a few things not working anymore or needing tweaking, like 99.9% of desktop users, you aren't someone they're gunning for.

Isn't this exactly what stallman was preaching?

    >Charge for support

Free software was always for the average consumer. Businesses are expected to pay
