Visual snow syndrome

Will they find cure for this shit?

At least in the last decade there were some research and neuro ophthalmologist not longer consider it as hypochondria

      I do not do drugs.

I've had migraines with aura since elementary school and I have ocd

Something fricky is going on with my brain.

Eh people with 20/20 vision have no idea how lucky they are

I cured it. It's simply an anxiety disorder, which can, for example, happen if you don't touch grass.

That is indeed an aspect of it.
Hyper awareness. People also get it with after images (wave your gand acroos your feild of view and seeing the tailing blur or frame drag).
LSDiots tend to call it a trip flash back.

It's insane how much post-processing our visual cortex performs, especially when you understand that the static is the actual signal our brains receive.
My working theory is that over-focusing on this leads neurons to bypass some of this post-processing.
The real cure seems to be simply going outside and shifting your focus away from it.

Can also be an nuro-chemical issue.
Probably dopamine depletion, but yes. It is at the core a post processing fault.

From brain scans it looks like there are differences in the way certain parts of brain work in people with ocd
glutamate and dopamine are probably to blame

            >Hyper awarness

Yeah, over years I realized that my OCD was just plain
            >noticing things/being aware of things that I would previously do on automode/unaware

I think the worst part is that I have rigid thinking, I was perfectionist my whole life and If I had a plan or motivation I could work hard all day long, but life is quite hard and shit happens and I had very hard time adapting to changes.
Usually I would sabotage myself and just quit/do nothing.

As I am older now and I somehow managed my ocd I see how dumb I was, wasted time washing time several times a day/spenig 2h a day in shower, checking stuff several times.

There should be some way to focus hyperawarness on more profound topics like "noticingn things in math or physic" instead of wasting 2h a day in the shower or washing your hand till skin bleeds

bro, visual snow literally doesnt affect your visual acuity. youre just using a harmless sensory phenomenon as a dumb scapegoat.
        >t. Anon with visual snow brighter than all but the brightest stars and better than 20/20 vision

Its hard to read letters if everything is flickering
I have migraine with aura aswell,

Its visible in ophthalmologist chart test. People with visual snow are not able to read small letters because its hard to tell difference between 5,6,8,9 if everything if flickering and you see only black dock instead of number

There were mri scans and with trial and people with visual snow have differences in certain parts of brain

okay. I will tell you how I treated my visual snow.

            Materials Required:
            • Visual diary containing unlined paper
            • 0.4 or finer pen (fineliner works best)
            • Benzydamine sore throat spray
            • Amphetamine (optional but helps)
            • Dimly lit room 2-4 hours after dusk (preferably incandescent or non-flickering lighting)

            Method:
            1. Wait until dusk and dose approx 5mg of benzydamine and a couple mg of amphetamine (if you have it, makes it easier, don't expect good sleep)
            2. Sit in a comfortable position, in the dimly lit room with your visual diary and pen (it should be dim enough that your visual snow is ubiquitous)
            3. Draw a random mark anywhere on a blank page
            4. Stare at the mark on the page, notice your visual snow all around
            5. Do this for long enough and you will see sparks or stars pop up every so often in your vision (amphetamine helps with this process)
            6. With the pen, trace over the sparks when they occur WITHOUT moving your gaze at all
            7. Continue staring at the marks on the page and tracing the sparks when they appear, keeping your gaze firmly fixed on a single point
            8. Every time your gaze flickers, just reset to a focus point, repeat until you draw a funny picture of odd shapes

Benzydamine is a mild hallucinogen which intensifies visual snow, know this.

Eventually your visual cortex will realize that these artefacts in your vision have a persisting manifestation and will learn to look for information in amongst the snow. It doesn't just improve visual snow but general visual acuity and immersivity.

            >pic related, this is one trace that I've done before using this method

its still hypochondria, but now everone is forced to have health insurance so the doctor know it's going to get paid, so its willing to "treat" your condition with some sort of useless (at best) placebo.
in the past mentally ill hypochondriacs mostly didn't have money so nobody wanted to treat them and their imaginary concerns were rightly ignored.
but now they get catered to instead because the self centered attention hungry hypochondriacs can selfishly waste other people's money via health insurance so doctors cater to them which in turn only exacerbates their hypochondria

But you know your ophthalmologist can see vision snow in your char test?

Person will heavy visual snow will have vision below 90% or 70% becuse it makes small leatter unrecognizable due to black/white noise

It's malfunctioning error correction. Just as how the brain blends the data-frames from separate eyes, the individual signal resolution is subject to quantum degradation.
The visual processing normally fills in the blanks with educated guesses.
Hence why the sleep deprived and/or drug addled is prone to seeing faces where they simply do not exist.
Einstein's spooky action at a distance was derived from this phenomena that he had experienced, during his frequent meth fueled research sessions.
