What he says might be true, but he leaves open the means with wich one can acquire power or what power means to anyone. Some might feel powerful with a million bucks. The Aryan feels powerful working his field with his own hands. They are not the same.

      Anonymous

The man working the field with his hands is less powerful than the man with a million dollars. This is not subjective.

If the man working the fields ever finds himself having to fight the millionaire mano a mano, the millionaire is gonna get raped.
But if Im in the room and I have a gun, I'm gonna make them have sex with each other and then I'll shoot them.
        What is power even?

Good luck getting in this scenario
          What is power even?
In this case, it's the power to compel people to do what you want.

            Anonymous

Not all millionaires are on that list though. I could rape Bill Gates. A bullet will go through his skull all the same. And I know he fears this. And I know anytime he drops his guard or does a big no no he's gonna get it just like Epstein.
Then again, no amount of cash or physical fitness will save anyone on that list from getting blown to bits by a Russian rocket.
            >Defining power with power
            Kek
If power is the ability to compel people. I'd argue that Jim Jones was much more powerful than any millionaire (Getting 900 people to commit suicide just by talking shit).
Not arguing tho, money is a means to power. But power comes in many ways. Its like rock paper scissors.
Id argue that true power comes from the mind, which is ironically, the least powerful thing in the world.

You assume globality. There are localities where the manual laborer is more powerful.
Reminds me of homeless extorting people with nice cars for money, or they'll scratch the car. Fear of losing something is exploitable. Having nothing but your fierceness and no other posessions only gives that sort of freedom. Machiavelli brings this up, no politician is safe from loners willing to sacrifice their life.

          Anonymous

Their power is limited and restricted. A time cost is usually why these scenarios exist, for example, it's faster to pay the homeless guy than to seek retribution for him scratching your car. The real power is in choice, the rich guy chooses to save his time, if he chose not to, the homeless guy would tear out his vocal cords as he is submerged in acid.

            Anonymous

            Hahaha
You don't need acid, just a gun and enough money to pay the cops.
But it's not just time that stops them. You seem to think all wealthy people are cold reptilians. But most of them have that deeply ingrained shame and fear normal people have and the hobo doesn't.
Give a rich person a gun, how many do you think will shoot the hobo, even if they could get away with it? Far less than you'd think.
The hobo has the power, limited as it is. Otherwise that wouldn't be happening anymore.

The millionaire has potential power in the form of promises that aren't guaranteed. The independent farmer with a head full of useful knowledge that can relatively easily produce value worth over a million is much more powerful.
The more Napoleon exerted power the less control he actually had over the future. All the power had to be constantly deployed to maintain itself.

What would you do with them if you couldn't take anything? The act of taking what you want is the important thing and not the means.
        >If you reflect on it correctly, you don’t want the freedom to have all these fine things, for with this freedom you do not have them; you actually want to have these things, to call them yours and possess them as your property. What use is a freedom to you, if it contributes nothing? And if you became free from everything, you would no longer have anything; because freedom is lacking in content. For one who doesn’t know how to use it, this useless permission has no value; but how I make use of it depends on my ownness.

money and power is as meaningless as anything else, the only point at which what you have has some sense of meaning is when it let's you do the only thing that has any significance in life: end it

      Anonymous

Meaning is a remnant of the religious past, loosely translating to the afterlife.
      >What's the meaning of life?
      >It's a test from God.
      >How do I pass?
      >Follow his rules
      >For what?
      >Heaven
It's no wonder that philosophers have a hard time with 'meaning', because its ideological base has already been destroyed.

So the entire question quote is invalid. Since it presents an idea that is not accepted yet the burden of proof falls upon it.

          Anonymous

The idea of the 'meaning' (affiliated with religion) used in your case is invalid. The meaning in the quote, 'All the rest are meaningless', is valid in the sense of it being important—that is to say, money and power are important, everything else is unimportant.

Look at this little dude. He could have all the money in the world, an entire army at his disposal, yet his mind is broken beyond repair.
What good is power in the hands of this little b***h? Would xhe let some person walk into his home and steal all his shit only if he promised to kill xer too?
If your mind goes to shit, then you're at the very bottom of the power pyramid, even lower than bacteria.

Probably. If there is a fabric to this reality the nature of it would be of accumulating matter whether it is a planet pulling everything smaller to become part of it's surface or an animal converting matter to more animals in their image, or of a person compelling others to enact their will. Morality as people practice it usually has 100% to do with what they perceive to be the morality of the person or thing who holds the most power over them. It has almost nothing to do with anything besides this. You can make a person think the most horrible depraved acts are moral and they will believe it with zero cognitive dissonance. I haven't made up my mind to what extent art and religion are separate/divergent from this, but it feels like they are some kind of rebellion. If/when I realize they are just cope that can be categorized within the same bounds I will kill myself.

All too easy. Money is merely the excess time and energy of the past. Power is merely influence which can be exerted on others. In other words, neither of those things are an end. They are tools to be used. Therefore, if everything else lacked meaning, those two things would also have no meaning.
