No, it's in their best interest to keep Firefox and Mozilla as a whole alive so that they can get away with a lot more shit. After all, what they give Mozilla each year is literal pennies in their eyes yet it has allowed chrome and google to remain at the top for years while deluding some into thinking that mozilla really cares about its users

Ok, enjoy your mozilla Pocket™ and new tab page full of fake news, also enjoy your "sponsored" search results that come from them selling your data to ad agencies. All of those things were very necessary, every npc wanted them in their browser.

constant ui tinkering is the bane of all modern apps. Nothing more annoying than finding a workflow and then realizing you have to constantly relearn where to find this and that in menus and sub-menus because there's no hotkey for that and this in particular. Pointless goosechase to justify some "coder"s job.

I used IQfy for the first time in a decade or more and got a better browser for android:

    Via browser

It's fast, doesn't require reloading tabs when switching them and has a built in adblocker.

I miss having ublock origin but it uses a large list and you can still use streaming websites with it, though there is no cuatomisation to the adblock other than adding lists.

It's better than kiwi browser. But it requires some customisation.

    1. Settings > General >:

    >Always restore tabs at startup (second option from bottom): yes

    >Adblocking (4th from top)
Enable and enable built in filters
Update filter supscription interval: everyday (and then tap update now

Also enable full screen mode in the options tray if you have swipe sides for back (gestures) instead of tapping icons at the bottom.
It willnuse up all screen spacen for web pages.

The home page can be set to bookmarks, but that's tonuser preference.

You can save and view webpages too, and save them as pdfs.

If you like it pass it on. Otherwise nobody will know of it. The worst part about it is does require the customisation mentioned.

Doesn't use up much space either 60mb instead of several hundred.

Ram and battery life use is lighter.

Cromite works better based on my use. It's slightly slower but it makes up for it by having a more competent adblocker. I don't know if it's just me, but Via browser can't do cosmetic filtering/adblocking while Cromite can. Unfortunate really, otherwise it would be my main browser

I use a 3 year old build of ungoogled chromium that I'm too lazy to update and a similarly old build of ublock origin
it always just werks, never had to deal with youtube adblock detection or anything

I use mull as my main android browser but it's pretty janky with many sites
anything where you have to hold down a press instead of tap has the timing totally fricked, either you have to hold something down longer in order to register and/or it stops registering after a second even if you keep holding
scrolling on some sites is fricky
I saw one site's CDN blocking mull in its firewall (causing images not to load) but to be fair that's entirely on their end
uploading images is fricked, usually shows as garbled rainbow static
also uses more battery than chromium browsers but I heard that's a firefox thing
