When was the last time you used landscape mode for anything other than watching video?

When was the last time you used landscape mode for anything other than watching video? Do you just leave rotation lock on 24/7 at this point?

Every mobile site/app is designed for portrait mode. If you're using landscape mode on mobile devices in 2024 you're literally just being moronic.

phone, laptop, and desktop all have the exact same userland that I created for myself and its based beyond comprehension. It's not for everyone though, some people simply deserve the terrible user experience they want so badly.

I use it all the time. IT'S FRICKING SUFFEREING
    >fix width to 120 characters morons! I get lost on lines sometimes(applies to desktop too)
    >keyboards are better in this mode! BUT! They need more than 50% screen for my big fat fingers to type without fear. This means regular view should be as uncluttered as possible(maybe even gasp! drawing the keyboard over the lower ribbon and adding hotkeys with a special command button(user configurable)!), or better yet open a floating window with the field as it's title and it takes up the remaining of the screen

Trying it now, I'll admit this isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I could see myself using this but it still isn't as convenient as portrait mode, so I guess there's no point lol

Fricking lol, imagine interacting with the internet int his way. normie's "3 dots" button takes up 10% of the screen real estate. no wonder iq is dropping

Typing in landscape on a touchscreen used to be so comfy. You had lots of vertical space to see entire paragraphs of text at a time, and didn't have to stretch your thumbs much because the screen wasn't that wide.

I use it to type 100% of the time with the only exceptions being when some moron like you decides on your own nobody else should have it and so disables it in your gay-ass app for no valid reason.

he's implying that people "like you", as in people who shun landscape mode, prevent users from using landscape mode
he's not suggesting you specifically have written an app that disables landscape mode
