Why did the Apostles choose to die such horrible deaths?

I'm not Christian, but this puts me in doubt.

How do we know they did?

The same way we know anything about Julius Caesar.

Julius Caesar's death is infinitely more certain than any of the Apostle's deaths

You're right, every single apostle lived forever.

Yes, all the Apostles inherited eternal life

          all deaths are certain

Well, in all of these cases all we have is later Church tradition saying t his is what happened, and that usually isn't considered very historically reliable.

      That's not true.

OK which cases? Cause as far as I know the only person who personally knew Jesus whose death we have any independent confirmation of, and which is generally accepted by most historians and critical scholars is James the brother of Jesus.

So you're admitting you already knew what you said was false when you said it.

No I'm didn't. I didn't see James when I first looked at the list. The part about refusing to renounce is faith isn't in the non-christian account by the way. In that one they just kill him.

And we hate Jesus, all Christian accounts are wrong.

They were martyrdom fetishist, they would specifically provoke so they could be tortured.

    Because they were obviously subversives.

The same reason any cultist or radical ideologue commits martyrdom any time in history, contemporary Levantines blow themselves up and set themselves on fire and other shit all the time right now and yet we are supposed to view ancient ones doing the same thing as an impossible scenario when it is extremely likely and intuitive

It didn't happen. It comes from fanfiction from centuries later. Christcucks just parrot moronic talking points without even bothering to check for historical veracity. Guess that's to be expected since they have lower IQs.

John the Apostle and John of Patmos are completely different people.
The Greek in Revelation is garbage compared to John's Gospel which points to them have different authors.

It's more likely that there is some factor that made them crazy enough to do it than for Christianity to be true imo.

That factor is the Holy Spirit.

By bones do you mean fragmentary pieces or full skeletal remains?
