Why didnt Jesus just explain the Trinity in simples terms if its so integral to the Christian faith?

Why didnt Jesus just explain the Trinity in simples terms if its so integral to the Christian faith?

Why is the trinity not mentioned in the Bible but have Trinitarian formulas instead?

Why create unnecessary confusion?

Judeans invented the Trinity with the "Jahwist" source of the Bible, where they depicted God as a human.

This is in contrast to the "Elohist" source which depicts God as non-corporeal, thought to be from the Northern Kingdom of Israel.

This eventually led to a schism of Monotheistic and Anthropomorphic theology in the israelites, with the NT writers reluctant to go either way.

            >Proverbs 8:22-26
This chapter is talking about wisdom, not the son of God. And Solomon refers to wisdom as a her, not a he.

Jesus does not fit Micah 5 description, It says after he is born, he will rule over Israel and the Israelites will rejoin, this did not happen. And also:

“In that day,” declares the Lord,
“I will destroy your horses from among you
            and demolish your chariots.
I will destroy the cities of your land
and tear down all your strongholds.
            I will destroy your witchcraft
and you will no longer cast spells.
            I will destroy your idols
            and your sacred stones from among you;
you will no longer bow down
to the work of your hands.
I will uproot from among you your Asherah poles
            when I demolish your cities.
I will take vengeance in anger and wrath
on the nations that have not obeyed me.”

This did not happen either during the life of Jesus.

            >wisdom, not the son of God
Christ is wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:24,30; Colossians 2:3).
            >a her, not a he
The Hebrew word for wisdom is feminine. It would be gramatically incorrect to use other pronouns.
            >Jesus does not fit Micah 5 description ... this did not happen
            Simply false. It will happen.

            [...]
John 5:7-8 New King James Version (NKJV)
For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.

As Calvin, who had people killed for disbelieving the trinity, said: "When he says, These three are one, he refers not to essence, but on the contrary to consent; as though he had said that the Father and his eternal Word and Spirit harmoniously testify the same thing respecting Christ.".

I though Christ was the word? Now he is wisdom?
            >Simply false. It will happen.
It says it will happen when he is born, not after he leaves and returns.
            >Therefore Israel will be abandoned until the time when she who is in labor bears a son, and the rest of his brothers return to join the Israelites.

Israel was not abandoned when Jesus was born and the scattered Israelites did not join him during his rule, he actually never ruled over Israel at all.

The whole point of a sign is so you can verify when something has happened when it fits the description of the signs.

Why does it need to? The new testament mentions the father in order to emphasize Christ divinity as the son

          >wisdom, not the son of God
Christ is wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:24,30; Colossians 2:3).

            >And Im supposed to care what Calvin says why?
Because what he says is correct. The context makes it plain that the three that are one are the testimonies borne, that Jesus is the Son of God.

If I'm going to describe God or Jesus or the Holy Spirit in some way and tell people it's authoritative doctrine and must be believed, then I'll be quoting Scripture.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2 Timothy 3:16)

        >NKJV
        Not the King James Version

To filter the midwits from heaven.

That view is contrary to the gospel. God wants all men everywhere to repent and live. Apart from the verse I just loosely quoted from the NT, you can also read Ezekiel 18 to see about that. God doesn't delight in the death of the wicked. The house's Master wants the wedding to be full, from that parable.

trinity is man made, the christians will use the bible to prove it when their own bible is updated every day. Jesus wasn't God

Show me a single verse in the old testament that mentions The Father.

"Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." - The Lord Jesus Christ (John 5:39)

OP, your ignorance is truly overwhelming to write a thread such as this, when all the answers are clearly there for you. First of all, the Trinity was explicitly revealed through Church Tradition, which Christians have always valued as Divine Revelation, and even in the Scriptures it isn't much less explicit. The content of the Gospel of John basically say almost everything except "The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are all the Trinity btw." and even Luke makes it clear at the end that the Apostles *worshiped* Jesus, something only reserved for God. Lastly, consider the following verse.
    >He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’”
The very fact that you're asking questions when everything has been laid out so clearly for you demonstrates that you aren't really interested in the truth. You may think you are, but you're not, otherwise you would have found it.

It is explained clearly and simply in scripture. God is one, the father is god, the son is god, the spirit is god. "Being", "Person" and "Trinity" are just the terms used to describe the biblical data.

    >why didn't Jesus say it though
Arbitrary demand only used by biblical illiterates

Too bad, the Bible is full of riddles. The text is quite open about that and the fact that those who hate wisdom do not deserve it. Pagan Mystics were equally disdainful of impious plebs who think they deserve everything.

You mean the Holy Trinity? It actually is.

"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."
        - Matthew 28:18-20

"And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
I and my Father are one."
        - John 10:28-30

"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."
        - 1 John 5:7

"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."
        - 1 Timothy 3:16

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
        - John 1:1

The Trinity is not in the bible. Like most things christards take for granted it was something arbitrarily slapped on centuries later.
