Because they believe you're merely asking for said proof as some sort of gotcha.

It wouldn’t be a gotcha if there was proof.

It wouldn't be faith if they needed proof of it either.

Archeological evidence for Jesus is as strong as it could be

If you want evidence of God, then just pray for "something" that will convince you
Every prophet asked for a sign - everyone may do so as well. Just be sure you're ready for the answer

      Such as…?

Well, to start, the Bible itself is a piece of Archeology The details in its books coincide with the cultural norms of the time.

King Herod never genocided Bethlehem (no evidence, at least) but he really was a mad king who killed priests just under the suspicion that they may usurp him
The Bible mentions Joseph and Mary refused to return to Bethlehem because Archelaus became the ruler of Judea but never said why. Secondary sources say why - he killed 3000 Pharisees, violated Mosaic Laws, and continued to oppress the israelites
And coins and stone tablets did speak that Pontius Pilate really was the reigning governor of Judea by the time of Jesus

Just by these 3 political figures, you can confirm that the Bible cannot be faked easily because they are still alive, people know them, and, if they were lying, Pilate could easily arrest them all for defamation. In fact, they could just flop Jesus' body at the town square to kill the movement on the spot. But he didn't

Secondary archeological evidence would be the writings of the Christian fathers who have personally known the Church fathers.
They were not the ones who wrote the Bible but they kept on writing notes about it with much detail that it is believed that, even if the Bible didn't survive, you can still rebuild 95% of it using just their notes.

Their notes are dated at 100AD which will give precedence to the fact that this movement started out of a genuine historical event.

Btw, while we have no evidence of Bethlehem's genocide, it is really not impossible
The place is small, with barely 20 families at that time
Herod could send a small army of 100 and no one will be able to notice much.

    >why
well op do you understand the meaning of the word "faith" ??
    apparently not
it means - belief without proof
because all religions are in the spiritual realm which means their doctrines are self proving assertions
if you want proof you have stay in the secular world which can be analyzed with math and so on

Faith means trust. Trust your heart and your instincts
And no, Christianity is 100% fact-based. Every asked for evidence that God was the one speaking to them.

Because that’s not what religion is about. Religion is about faith, not autismo logic puzzles. I’m really sorry you were friendless as a kid and stayed in your room as a teenager. Not my problem.

Right so there’s no proof. Christians are weirdos by the way, they are exactly the type of people who aren’t cool and don’t have friends. The cool dudes played sports and went to parties.

      >you need to have faith
      Meanwhile in the OT
      >god manifests as a pillar of smoke
      >god opens the ground to consume people
      >god sends invisible angels that can reveal themselves spontaneously

He even mentions EXPLICITLY that he's revealing himself to the israelites so they understand he's real

It’s a basic reaction of liars and people pretending to know things they don’t.
When questioned and they have no answers, they lash out. They sense that their knowledge has run out, the fact that there’s nothing causes a form of anxiety which is then coped with (not the meme cope the actual meaning of term) by engaging in aggression (not violence just combative speech).

They have nothing, instead of admitting they have nothing and learning and growing as a man, they engage in the immature behavior of a tantrum.
