Considering I still see forums pop-up, still discussing on how to fix it, I don't think it's forgotten. I've been trying to get fixed for the longest of time, even after a fresh reinstall it's not working

I've known which of these to use for decades. Is the complaint that other people aren't forcing you to use specific software?

Why do you choose pacman, anon? Because it ships with your preferred distro, or do you have deeper reasons?

how does it "save" the screen if it just overlays bubbles on top of it?

I see you have only ever used LED displays.

what do you mean, same applies for CRTs, overlaying bubbles and not making the screen black makes no sense

        Anonymous

it doesn't, it was made for vista so any new computer that came with it didn't use a crt

why is windows so concerned about "power management"

bruh, it's plugged into the wall, it's not going to run out.

What I mean is that with certain displays, burn-in isn't a problem, so they sort of fell off in relevance. At least, that was my thinking.

    fricking bubbles!

The screen going black is one thing, there's also a bug where the bubbles suddenly start going at lightspeed, occasionally even falling out of screen bounds so you're left with just a few of them. It's rare as one's screen generally turns off well before it happens, but it does happen. You can google it to see people having the same problem. I think it may be related to having multiple displays with different resolutions.
