morons should've made those colors available for high end models.
Nobody wants a bright yellow phone that says you can't afford the best model.
People care about camera arrangement and display islands ffs.

its just a teardown skin with a translucent case overtop. You can find the skin on the chink sites for a few dollars under the name "internals skin" or "teardown", don't pay some israelitetuber 25 united states dollars for what is essentially a sticker. Or, print it yourself. The case search terms "translucent" or "clear purple" or "matte". You'll have to do some sifting thru slop

Was watching Pokemon concierge the other day and the mc has a laptop that looks similar. Then I went to see if anyone made a modern equivalent in style and couldn't find shit.
Made me wonder if Japan was still making fun electronics or if they're in the same state as us.

We see roughly generational ~20 year flips between sleek pragmatism and colorful, playful designs in tech, interiors, art, society, etc. Modernism to Postmodernism, beige boxy PCs to colorful blobjects and iMacs, to sleek black iPhones, back to color again.

I've heard an interesting take on why we haven't had a big switch back to colorful and bright and gaudy things back in quite some time.
So usually switch happens after generation got sick with the style their parents used all their life -- if you grew up in a home with sterile white walls, subdued colors of furniture and appliances, you will be surrounding yourself with colorful things and epilepsy inducing wallpapers; and vice versa -- and it happens on a generational scale.
But in last 20 years we see more and more of whiteness, simplicity, subdued tones and minimalism, with no colorful barf pushback in sight. And one of the possible reasons for that is constant colorful barf assault on everyone senses with ads, and this assault is so strong that it overrides the usual pattern.
Mind that I'm a literal moron when it comes to history and psychology of design and talking out of my ass using points I've heard somewhere, but seems plausible enough to me.

The "postmodern" aesthetic from the 90s which promoted variety and eschewed simplicity gave way to a new simple reversion to "modernism".
