Everything you could possibly want or need in technology already exists.

            robutt to wipe my ass

Get a bidet, seriously. I hesitated for years because getting one with instant warm water is so expensive. Ended up getting one that's cold water only, and it turns out my butthole isn't that sensitive to temperature. One wipe to dry off, every time.

            Bidet. There you go.

we're in a glut of steam deck clones, all running some variation of linux

Not wrong really, there's a reason they all want to move over to it. ASUS didn't for the Ally probably for product differentiation and also they didn't want to pay Valve I bet. It'll become inevitable though.

I have an OLED 512gigs on the way rn.

Uh, I've been following handheld PC development for a while now and the Steam Deck actually is a lookalike of Chinese handhelds which ran windows. Also every other x86 handheld made after that ships with windows. That includes the MSI Claw and that Lenovo Legion thing as well as dozens of Chinese models that it seems people only talk about on the Discord chatrooms for those companies.
There are ARM handhelds that, when they don't run Android run some kind of Linux distro but I'd hardly call them Steam Deck clones.

It's not a "look-alike", they're all fricking tiny, small laptops with a controller on, or resemble one of those phones with the slide-in-slide-out physical keyboard.

The ROG Ally, Claw, Legion may be clones of any particular device, but the intent is to compete with the Steam Deck: not the Ayaneo Chinkware. As you probably know if you are involved in this industry some of the Chinkware companies are already starting to use HoloISO &etc. and they can get away with it for free. The software's capability is undeniable.

one handheld, the AYANEO NEXT Lite, was going to use holoiso but the upstream source code isn't available, they start from a system image ripped from a Steam Deck, and they decided to just ship it with windows anyway because making drivers wouldn't be possible.

The one thing that's actually running Linux is the Orange Pi Neo. There's also the Playtron device planned but playtron is riddled with crypto scam.

The planned obsolescence cycle behind most new tech would rather have people who don't question things, accept the defaults, accept the datamining, etc..
A lot of this new tech is about being in on the ground level the next app store and you can't have something like that on Linux because it's substantially more open to change.
The fact that these devices don't run Linux is also why they eventually just die, there's no thought put into their longevity because they want the consoomer to be on the next thing.
