this though it has increasingly been driven by actual moron-tier aestheticism over the last century as media has come to supplant reality, just look at the number of deeply unfortunate individuals on this website trying to build a political school of thought out of carefully curated pictures of shirtless men

Nonsense is a more effective organizing tool than the truth. Anyone can believe in the truth. To believe in nonsense is an unforgeable demonstration of loyalty.

Yea, that's just a good question. He must've been a homosexual or infertile or something, logically he should've had multiple sons and created a dynasty if he cared about maintaining his empire.

Third point is valid. By the time of the events of FNV, Caesar has ignored producing an heir and establishing succession laws in favor for preparing to assault Hoover Dam. He ends up with a brain tumor and (without the courier's intervention) dies early, leading to Legate Lanius, a sadistic general that can't into nation-building, becoming the new leader.

Being able to bash heads in and lead charges doesn't make you fit for being an emperor. Legate Lanius was great at being Caesar's attack dog, but he lacked his charisma, intellect and nation building skills.

I don't really see it as very valid, because democratic regime is also unstable in it's "inheritance".

Yes a lack of a clear succession is bad, but the conjecture that the Legion collapse after ceasar is reddit cope. Lanius is clearly demonstrated to be cunning and reasonable and more than strong enough to keep the Legion stable under his will during his lifetime. The Legion is based off undying loyalty to thr Nation of his emperor, if said emperor is a competent it's perfect, hence the Legions rapid expansion and organization. If Ceasar is living and wins the hoover dam battle 2, it's a safe assumption the Legion can live off the inertia decades after his demise.

No "is" can be succesfully linked to an "ought". You can collect as many Gigachad pictures as you want, but you cannot claim even a single proposition in ethics can be substantiated through reasoning. Logic can reveal inconsistencies between different sets of premises, but it cannot demonstrate the validity of a premise.

That meme is literally how I feel when “arguing” with normies (who are overwhelmingly leftist), I’m getting tired of it.
Ever since about 5 years ago, most people have stopped critically thinking altogether, I suspect it was because of the rise of social media, they’ll just open a comment section of any video and “their” opinions align with whoever has the most liked comments. The “ratio” things has also fricked people’s perceptions of the truth. Most people unironically believe that any post with more likes than the other is the truth, and thus it is winning the argument. The more time passes, the more a disparity of “ratio” becomes evident in online discourse, because people become dumber. Add all of that with people being more and more stuck in a bubble, getting fed agendas by algorithms.
The result is that people have stopped thinking critically, don’t know how to argue anymore, don’t even think twice if the things they’re saying even make logical sense (most gets dismantled quite easily by any well informed person with an IQ of over 120).
But despite all of this, they’ll just keep being more and more opinionated.

You open up IQfy (a social media website where you interact with other people), go into inflammatory threads such as this one and your opinion aligns with the posts that have more (you)s/clout and are more representative of the current userbase's ideology

Most people typically agree that striving for happier living is generally a good idea, and when you follow rigorous logic to extreme conclusions you just end up with bugman style living conditions. That's the reason why, no one wants to live like an ant.

I liked NV but I like Fallout 3 for its surreal and creepy atmosphere and the fact that it was the first Fallout game I ever played when I was a kid.
    >Those are not sound arguments
I don't care, I just think it's neat. I also blew up Megaton on my first playthrough and thought it was really cool until I met Moira Brown as a goul and then felt really bad. So I never blew up Megaton ever again in any playthrough and never will.
