Will it be possible for me to live in future without using any "AI"?

I find "AI" and everything to do with it repulsive on a moral and spiritual level.

I refuse to consume AI-generated content. I refuse to purchase any new devices with integrated "AI" features. I refuse to talk to AI chatbots or "personal assistants". I don't want anything to do with any of this shit.

However, already even in 2024 it's becoming increasingly difficult for me to do this. Literally everywhere I go I see "AI" bullshit. It feels like it's being forced into my life whether I want it or not.

What can I do to avoid this shit in future? I am even willing to separate from mainstream society and form an "Amish" style group that lives the rest of our lives only using pre-2022 tech. But will the government and corporations even allow me to do that?

I already don't live in a city. But in 2024 everything is so interconnected that it basically doesn't matter.

I'm terrified of a future where "AI" bullshit becomes so forcibly integrated into our everyday lives that it is basically impossible to function on a day-to-day basis without it. Like the internet, for instance. In the modern day if you don't have an internet connection, you are pretty much prevented from living any kind of a life.

I guess the thing is I don't want to completely reject technology, just "AI".

I'm also not religious, so joining the literal Amish, or any group similar to them, is not an option for me.

And what do you have against AI, specifically, that you don't have against other technologies?

I have no interest in interacting with fake robot "people".

I have no interest in consuming any content/media/art that wasn't created by a human.

Previous technological innovations like the internet were meant to bring HUMANS across the world together to interact with other HUMANS, "AI" is about cutting humans out of the equation entirely.

It's not hard to see why I didn't mind the former, but I despise the latter.

right! let's unleash elite pattern-generating algorithms on mass-collected behavioral psychology data, this is definitely a good and healthy thing for society! AI is really good and i love all the new ~~*economic growth*~~ we're experiencing!

You hate it now, but in a few years you'll give up.
It's literally the same as when sewing machines were invented. Do you only buy shirts that were hand-sewn for $1000 each because they were made by a human? Or are you buying the made in China soullessly produced shirts for a few bucks?
You consume everything else made by non-human means already, this is just the latest iteration.

      >You hate it now, but in a few years you'll give up.
Nope. I have never had more conviction about something than I do on this issue.

I will do everything possible to avoid AI-generated shit. If all new music is AI-generated? Cool, then I'll only listen to pre-2022 music. All new video games are made with AI? Cool, I'll only play games released pre-2022, or I'll switch to only retro consoles.

I have never used ChatGPT. I have never used any AI image generation software. I have never used Copilot, despite Microsoft attempting to force it onto my taskbar (I had to dig deep into the Windows settings to find an obscure toggle to disable that).

I am simply never, ever going to willingly use any of this shit. You don't understand how committed I am about this.

No and why do you care? Eventually the majority of ads, corporate training videos, and anything else that needs quick turnaround or low cost above all else will be AI generated, because it will just make economical sense to do so. It's like how everything started being photoshopped once it was more economical compared to more manual editing methods before it.
